out of 20 kings of the ring. only 6 were babyface. 7 if u count Mabel who kinda became heel when he won.
But there hasn't been a babyface winner of king of the ring in 20 years. So im good with Carmella winning for the girls. And Sami or Ricochet winning for the men.
as far as i can tell KOTR hasn't elevated any babyface really. Maybe Edge. Because a face can't really use it as part of their gimmick. It lends itself to being a heel gimmick

That’s why I think they’ll have Jinder win it. Unless Sami surprisingly is going to Saudi. Already know we’ll have a heel in the finals for the women.. so maybe Shayna won’t go to the finals?

WWE either trying to have its cake and eat it too.....or testing out getting rid of brand split.
By having this "Oh the draft happened but doesn't technically go into effect yet, so lets just have smackdown and raw ppl on both shows for a couple weeks" thing

They made it very clear that it doesn’t take effect until after Crown Jewel. They’re not going to leave people off the show due to them switching brands in a few weeks. |
