I struggled on whether or not to create this thread and clutter the board. But in the end my desire for an official Mattel Elite Sabu just overtook everything haha. What do you all think our chances of getting a Sabu from Mattel are? And what would be your desired colored pants? I mean, we have Cactus, Terry, RVD coming and ECW Belts, Sabu seems like someone that is a need,

It’s probably my most wanted figure from Mattel but I don’t see it happening
I think Sabu and Alfonzo were in the Icons doc tho so maybe it’s more likely than 0%. Also Vince apparently liked Sabu so him being signed to a legends deal is a possibility maybe
Slight chance but overall I don’t think so

Given that Chella toys is producing one for their line it doesn’t seem like he’s signed to WWE anything right now

Lately it seems like they don’t sign any new people, not like they were in the beginning anyway. I SO wish could get a WCW or ECW full set like Jakks did, that’s still one of my favorite releases of all time.
We have been getting more and more ECW versions but nothing like a Shane Douglas, or Mike Awesome etc. somebody totally new. As long as they don’t give SABU rubber pants like the TNA one had lol, what the hell were they thinking?

I would preorder one as soon as I could if Sabu was ever made by Mattel. Not only is he an iconic wrestler but he’s also makes for a great figure.
I would say realistically, the chances are small.
Who knows though, The Goon just got made! Anyone is a possibility!

Not anytime soon. I don’t think Mattel will have a go at him for at least another year or two. If he were possible, though, I’d imagine they’d jump at the chance.

I would love one. He's a very toyetic guy and could come with a ton of accessories. I'd like one in his yellow/beigeish looking pants with two headscans. One with his hair covering his face and another with his hair to the sides. He could come with the turban and steel chair. Actually, there's so many colors we could get.

Yea these new ECW figures got me wanting Sabu, sandman, and new jack so bad. I would even settle for basics, LOL.
For sabu pants I would probably go with the gold or tanisha color. He wore.

What do we think the market for a sabu is?
I loved ecw and was the perfect age for it but looking back without nostalgic glasses amongst the innovative hardcore and sporadic great wrestling was an awful lot of trash
When wwe have revisited ecw with clips on YouTube, social media etc sabu is omitted
I’d love one myself but I’d guess it would be pretty limited even amongst legends collectors?
Could be wrong though
