My guess on why so many Austins is that he sells... Oh without a doubt. But it seems odd that they milk Austin, but then only have sparing releases of other wrestlers which also sell well/are hard to find.
Like Demolition are impossible to find, as everyone knew they would be, but they never really milked that as much, when they had the opportunity. Just seems a tad odd.

Maybe Austin will have pinless double jointed elbows. And maybe he’ll have different legs. They keep giving him the short boots and extra long calves, and it's never been accurate any time they've done it. |

My guess on why so many Austins is that he sells... And cheap to make. Great filler figure for a line of a popular superstar to keep costs down. Great point -- it's a win-win. |

Yeah I canceled my preorder from Bret the moment AFA said it was going to be WM26. They keep giving him the short boots and extra long calves, and it's never been accurate any time they've done it. Other than his legs being to thin the short boots with the longer calves is completely accurate. Any other calves with those boots would make him too short. Given that dilemma, I'd rather they give him slightly taller boots that would be closer to the bottom of his braces. Maybe the ones they insist on giving basic Macho Man figures. |

Not sure why we can’t get another DM Hart with the Hf jacket and flag. It’s extremely rare. Instead we get WM26 Hart that no one wants. Mattel sure knows how to dial it up.

Also keep in mind that these sub sets have to be sold to retailers. Purchasers from Walmart and Target only know the big names. You put Stone Cold in the line and stock him 3 per case then it’s gonna have a better chance of getting picked up with a big order.

I'd gladly take any Mick Foley figure if Mattel would like to throw around repaints, all the parts are there. Heck, just have to mix them up, switch some hair around on the scans and I'd be happy. |

I already have one Steve Austin elite and that's all I'll ever need but it's still strange how he has never been in a normal elite lineup in ten years. I'm not counting the Stunning Steve we just got.

No they’re definitely snakeskin, if they were weathered it would be all over them, but it only looks like that in the specific spots where the other braces have color |

Austin in the conversation for biggest overall pop culture wrestling star ever, and certainly no lower than #3, and is someone who likely sells anytime in any Stone Cold form since more or less anyone starting a collection (outside of kids) will want at least one of him. It’s really not a mystery why he consistently gets figures.

Lines like Legends, Hall of Fame, Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, etc need him as an anchor figure and he would kind of be wasted in a mainline Elite wave. |
