So I think it’s safe to say the E wants to do Reigns/Rock at WM39, with - I would imagine - Reigns retaining. By that point he’d be champ just short of three years. Do you see the E breaking up his time with the title at any point, to where he’s lost and won it back by spring ‘23? Or do you think they’re going to pull a near-modern-day Backlund with the man and have him old it all the way until that point and beyond? Just amazing to me what they’re doing with him, but if it’s over it’s over. And he and his merch certainly are.
We haven’t seen someone with the title that long since Hogan’s first and Backlund not long before that, certainly wiping the floor with Lesnar’s run and Punk’s.

I could legitimately see Brock beating Roman in Saudi this week.
But this reign is really so dominant, whoever does finally beat Roman is going to be a made man.
Knowing WWE, he'll get pinned by Goldberg in an 8 minute match on the next Saudi show after WM38.
I say keep it on him until you have a serious star they want to pass the torch to. I don't think anyone on the current roster could be the person to end this reign.

the only one I can realistically see Dethrone Roman is either Drew or a face turned Lashley.

I think Drew has a great shot of winning the belt before that,then Roman just gets it back if they can bring Rock in or the Rock/Roman match won't even be for the title.

It’ s time WWE to give an opportunity fresh new talent. It should go to a new guy. Not someone Like Brock, Drew or New Day who have been handed opportunity after opportunity.

If they can’t do Rock this year it should be Drew at Mania. I dont see another guy on Smackdown after the draft that presents even a challenge to Reigns. SD’s top guys after Drew are literally Nakamura, Cesaro, Sami Zayn, Sheamus.
Unless they plan on trading the title back and forth with Brock or giving it to Drew at Mania, I think its going to be extremely hard to find legit opponents for Reigns for another year.

This might the first time I'd be ok with Roman being champ for another year. I'm not too keen on seeing Brock or Drew beat Roman. The guy I wanted to see beat Roman was Big E. Now that he's on Raw, there's no one on SD I would personally like to see beat Roman. Most likely, it will be Brock or Drew

Honestly I'd be fine with Reigns holding it that long until there is finally an up and coming star ready to take it. Have Reigns beat Rock at WM39 and then for Backlash finally lose it to someone.

Honest question, what WrestleMania are we up to? I honestly wouldn’t want Drew to win it. He’s sort of boring imo. The thing here is that people want Drew to dethrone Roman and then they turn on Drew. I’ll be the one to say it, I don’t care for Drew. I think WWE built themselves into a bubble because they do not have a lot of legitimate threats atm. I would love to see Rollins, Hardy or maybe even Edge beat Reigns. Hardy has star power, he’s sells a lot of merchandise and he’s being used a jobber. They need to do something with him.

It wouldn't surprise me if they give Drew his big Wrestlemania moment next year. He's obviously going against Big E at Survivor Series. Thats still Day 1, Royal Rumble, Fast Lane, and a potential Saudi show. So that's four possible opponents between now and Wrestlemania. I'm wondering if there are four built up enough opponents on Smackdown at the moment to fill those gaps.

I think we'll see Brock win it off of him with some sort of Heyman turn, but if they didn't go down that route then I'd be all for a year more of Reigns as champion. The guys get's better and better in his role and he's so dominant as champ that it's gonna take a seriously big upset or some stellar booking to take the belt off of him, if it's not Brock.
