It’s so funny to me the people complaining about getting different attires of guys who have gotten figures already. “It’s a repaint!” So? Wrestlers have different looks. Not everyone just buys one of each person. “Cancel the line!” Why? Because you don’t want anything in it? Simply don’t buy them if you don’t want them. This place is so damn weird sometimes. “Where are new figures of these people not under deals?!?” Seriously asked daily and people still don’t seem to understand how it works. People need signed, through WWE and not Mattel, to Legends deals to get figures. People that have had figures in the past might not be under contract anymore so no new figures of them. Some don’t want to sign Legends deals like Kurt or Scott Steiner. Plenty of people under contract have different options for different looks from different eras. Why not make them? This line gives us more selection. It’s nice. Idk, maybe I don’t take the hobby seriously enough. Literally the Target exclusivity and how bad pre orders have been at times are the only real complaint I think. The DDP and Brutus online exclusive thing sucks as. If the figures made aren’t for you though, well then I guess you don’t have to worry about hoping you can get them. While your right with everything you say but something is gonna have to change for the legends line to continue. They’re gonna have to figure out a way to get fresh characters into the line eventually or it’s gonna fold. How are you gonna feel when the Bella Twins are in the line because they have no one new to make? |

I love the line and the packaging. As a mostly MOC collector I would have preferred that some FTIL figs like Superstar Graham, Rocky Johnson, Michael Hayes and Blassie that where released as Collectors Editions/Main line during this same period were put in the legends line. Also recent releases of Davey Boy, Stunning Steve and Lawler I would have preferred in the legends packaging as well. I know not everyone is happy with Target, but I have had no problems. Using their app, pre orders and having a Target near me have made it pretty easy to find what I want. Only want I still have is the chase MDM. I’m seeing comments about the lack of FTIL in the legends line. Would collectors opinion on this line be different if like mentioned above that Graham, Johnson, Hayes and Blassie had joined Valentine in the legends line? Personally, yes I would have preferred Superstar and the new Lawler and Kama etc in the legends line over another Jake or Scott hall. Got no issue with Cena’s inclusion since he is a legend under any rational metric even though I didn’t buy it. New Bossman would have been a good fit in the Legends line too I think. |

Speaking on behalf of the forum: We like the legends line when it’s inactive, and constantly demand that they bring it back. When it’s active, we hate it and want them to discontinue it.
Speaking on behalf of myself: I don’t really care about it either way. It just seems to upset people when Mattel releases a new Ultimate Warrior or Brutus Beefcake or Macho Man, rather than doing a figure of a jobber they beat in 1988.

I don't like some of the lineups but that's fine. I don't need to buy every figure, it just saves me money. Every series so far has had at least 1-2 figs I want and some really great additions to my collection.
I would like to see Bret, Neidhart, Bulldog get some attention in this line though.

My issue isn't so much releasing the same people because there are many eras, looks and attires they can do but more so character/attire choice. If they stick to the same people too soon or release underperforming talent this could cause fatigue in the line and Target will only look at sales data when deciding if they still want to continue ordering them.

Yeah, pretty much exactly where I'm at with the line. It's usually only or two guys in a wave that I end up getting so no stress involved trying to get them all and less money spent...win/win. |

No New Legends and god awful target distribution. Mattel just end this line already. You are literally just taking figures that where released in the regular elite line years ago, slapping a new coat of paint on them and putting them in "Legends" packaging. After 10 years of everyone on here complaining it was gone they brought it back and now you want them to cancel it? I will simply say nothing. 🤐 |

Love it, but I do wish we were getting more new faces. That's a macro issue with Mattel, though.
92 Piper, even though it needed a head swap, is awesome. We just got the best Nash scan of all time. We're getting the DX Army, which rules. ECW Bam Bam is incredible. Cream of the crop Macho is one of the best accessories of all time imo. Final appearance Warrior was a huge want for a ton of people, myself included. More Jake, Razor, and Taker were all welcomed. Vader and DDP were both excellent figures.
Other than UE, this is predominantly what I'm buying from Mattel. The longer this line continues, the better.

The one big gripe I have with the set is the fact that Series 7-13 had one new character and all others were rereleases. I know a lot of us on this forum love these rereleases but the truth is that I don't see this line having continued success if we keep getting the same characters over and over again. You can repaint them and make new headscans and gears, but that just isn't enough to have an entire line of figures dedicated to. The return of this line only spans 7 confirmed sets so far and we have already had Jake the Snake as two of them-- and he took up both of the chase spots for those sets! I just wonder why something like this happens at all.
Overall, though, I've been very happy with the figures we have gotten. The Eddie, Bam Bam, Nash and Vader can up into the wrestling figure Hall of Fame. Those four incredible releases on their own have made me really appreciate this line a lot.
I don't think the distribution is often really bad but I do think that when it is bad-- its really bad. I really hated the DDP/Brutus situation as well as Legends only coming in stock on Target dot com for 30 seconds at a time. I don't understand why it has to be such a challenge. I almost rather these just stay out of stock rather than taunting me by sending me the in-stock notification and the item not being there in the seconds it took me to open the page.
I also really love the packaging for these figures. The first Legends packaging obviously looked a ton better but I appreciate that you can unbox and repackage figures with the new design. Maybe that isn't super useful but its nice that its an option.
I voted yes, but I really, really would love some better variety in these sets.

Why is The Hurricane part of the legends line? Lol I know it doesn't feel like it, but the debut of that Hurricane look to right now (2009-2021) is a longer period of time than when Jericho's Classic Superstar figure was made, to when he wore that gear (1998-2008). Hurricane wasn't a Jericho-level talent, but that figure is based off an attire from almost 12 years ago. |

I wish they would get some new guys signed but overall I am very happy that we have a legends line. Beefcake, WM2 Jake, JYD ,million dollar man might not have made it to elite lines so I'll take it. I hope we get some new guys like Adrian Adonis, Hercules and Dynamite kid eventually.

I'm enjoying that "Bella Twins in the Legends line" is a sign of the apocalypse. (Put 'em in there, I say! More room for current female talent in the main Elite line.)
