Am I the only one who feels like Mattel has never been able to get Bret Hart’s likeness right with his head scan? The Survivor Series 2021 head was awful, IMO, and the King of the Ring RSC exclusive one wasn’t much better either.
Not to complain, as the attires that they’ve given us with Bret on the Wrestlemania 30, elite 2-pack w/ Goldberg, and Survivor Series 2021 have all been great. But honestly? I feel like this new Wrestlemania 38 figure that was revealed to us is probably the best one that they’ve done.
Thoughts on this? Which Bret Hart figure is your favourite? Personally, I could definitely see myself picking up the new one just for the head scan alone and then getting the Wrestlemania 30 or Survivor Series 2021 figure just to do a head swap with.

I display the Ultimate figure with the open mouth head and his glasses on and I think m he looks great, but that’s just me.

I display the Ultimate figure with the open mouth head and his glasses on and I think m he looks great, but that’s just me. This is the closest anyone has got to nailing Bret's face. But his hair is awful, and not even the right colour sadly. |

Idk about that WCW Bret with Goldberg two pack. While the amount of detail was correct, the colors ruined the whole figure for me. The whole shade of pink just throws it off and it was probably the only pink WCW version we’re getting too.. To get back on topic, I think his best scan is the Defining Moments version. The face looks exactly like Bret. The issues with that head is the really bad hair sculpt. Mattel should not try and attempt any more Bret’s with loose hair strands on his forehead unless it’s sculpted imo. The other issue being the head is sort of small. Now on to the other Brets... The scans are actually quite decent, but they look sort of awkward sort to say. They all again suffer from really bad hair molds. I think the worst Bret scan up to date is the survivor series. He looks like he took a big proud sh*t and the hair looks too matted. We need something like this. No hair strands in the front. Just hair on the sides...    |

They continuously try to go for this wet, stranded look that is accurate for Bret, yes, but the execution of it isn’t exactly what one would call excellent so to speak (See what I did there  ). To me, while red tights/black top and black tights/red top aren’t traditional Bret Hart colours, the attires still look really cool to me and don’t bother me at all (I’m colourblind, for reference). One of the reasons that I like this new Wrestlemania 38 head scan so much is because it’s not that wet hair, loose strand look. It’s the long hair off to the sides one, which is what they should probably be doing more of in my opinion. |

The Ultimate heads are all terrible. The likeness on his Mania XXX face is his best, but the hair is clumpy. Mattel's hair molds have been extra awful since they started using those glue on pieces instead of molding the hair. I'm not sure they're ever going to figure Bret out because of how they do that now.

I only have WMX elite and e42 or whatever. They both look like him. Can’t speak for other likenesses

I liked the SVS head (which also came with the UE, but with different hair), the BOPPV/WM head, and the DM head. The rest have not been good.

The Survivor Series 2021 figure is the worst offender when it comes to bad face scans of Bret. He looks awkward, constipated, and anything but confident, calm, and collected like the Hitman would usually be.
7/10 attire on that one, I’d say. 1/10 head sculpt, unfortunately
