Although its always sad when folks get released, I can’t say many of these are super surprising. Morrison is probably the closest thing to a shock although they’ve done nothing with him since he came back, so more of a wasted opportunity there as opposed to getting rid of good talent.
Tegan Nox is upsetting as I really enjoyed her work but not super surprising considering her injury history. Poor girl just couldn’t stay healthy.
As much as I never saw the potential of Hit Row like I guess some others on here did, their releases just show how no one in the company knows what the hell is going on from day to day. They got thrown together into a faction, called up to main roster in the draft and released all within like a 6 month span right? How does that happen?
As much as I love Dakota Kai, I think being part of the feud with Raquel on NXT right now is saving her professional life.

Tegan always injured never really got a full run without setbacks, Hit Row was actually pretty decent stable, espically Top Dolla did the show for them buying the stuff for the archives, Maverick is being used every week. Ryker good riddance. Should have moved JOMO to NXT to help elevate the newer guys down there

lol I'm actually peeved about Tegan Nox because I knew as soon as she got called up to Smackdown she'd be released in like six months. Hit Row is the "huh?" decision this round. Weren't they pretty over? Or did that not translate when they moved to the main roster? As much as I love Dakota Kai, I think being part of the feud with Raquel on NXT right now is saving her professional life. Yeah I thought for sure she was gone once she lost the match vs. Raquel at TakeOver. Keep on fightin', Kai!

It sucks but in reality only 2 guys on that list really had any potential to be stars (If given the right creative direction)

They were the hottest faction in NXT over the summer.

Weren't they pretty over? Or did that not translate when they moved to the main roster? They formed on May 4th and were over in NXT 2.0. Drafted Nov 1st, B-Fab released Nov 4th, the rest Nov 18th. Never had a chance to get over on the main roster.

How does Dana Brooke survive these releases every damn time? She does a lot of ambassador work for the company with Be A Star, Make-a-Wish, Special Olympics, etc.

How does Dana Brooke survive these releases every damn time? To be fair, we'd been saying exactly the same thing about Ryker until this batch lol.

Its official.....Vince has Alzheimer's.
No more Hit Row
No more Jo Mo.
Hit Row was already dead after his old @$$ released B Fab and I see why Morrison left.

While none of these names are super surprising, the WWE is hampering a roster that’s seriously lacking top names already.
In the past there were “tiers” that a star would work through on there way to the top. Look at Kurt Angle for example. He debuted, and started working with guys like Taz, Blackman, Godfather, and Val Venis on his way to the European Title. Then he started working with guys in the next “tier” like Jericho, Benoit, and Rikishi on his way to the IC Title. Then he finally got to face the main event talent like Taker, Rock, and HHH. There was a clear progression that fans could follow.
Now take a guy like Bron Breakker. When he gets called up to the main roster, there’s no “tiers” for him to work through. He’ll get thrown into a feud with some former world champ like Seth, Owens, or AJ right off the bat, and likely run through those feuds pretty fast. Then we get stuck in the cycle we currently see the WWE in that consists of the same thing over and over.
Story is the WWE may not be cutting top-level stars, but they are cutting a huge chunk of their roster that can help elevate and establish the next top star. Guys like Keith Lee, Kross, and Jo-Mo may not be main eventers in the WWE, but they could have still been solid midcarders that help to elevate future stars like Bron Breakker. Fans won’t have a story to invest in when new talent is always thrust into feuds with guys like Seth, Owens, and AJ (who are also former world champs that have been toiling in the midcard for what seems like an eternity).

They don't even have any women's tag teams anymore.

Personally I really enjoyed her work. Women’s tag titles only worked when you had stacked rosters, its clear the company is heading in the other direction releasing talent. The main rosters are so thin for the women they might as well retire the titles. It’s the same 4-6 people who aren’t named Becky, Sasha, Charlotte, Bianca forming random tag teams from week to week fighting over the titles.

I truly think Vince only calls up nxt talent just so they can be held on a 90 day no compete clause verse a 30 day, so sad what’s he’s done to this once great company.
