Ruby Fusion gave permission to start a new thread for this upcoming six-inch figure line inspired by the Jakks BCA figures of the mid-to-late 1990s. As announced by Figure Collections on various social media yesterday morning: http://instagr.am/p/CWx4wmBroX5

Hasbro figures were before my time, but BCA's were my jam! Looking forward to seeing what they do with this line.

I’m very interested in seeing the lineup. BCA’s we’re a bit before my collecting time as a kid, so if these are knockouts then it’s something I’m definitely interested in collecting them.
Who do we all think will be in the set?
I think Nick Aldis and potentially if they can get some NWA guys signed then it’d be interesting. I’d love a Chris Masters honestly.

Well that’s unfortunate. Seems Chella has jumped the shark. I’ve been told you’re not allowed to use the word “perfection” when describing your own product. Guess nobody will be buying these either. /s
Very interested in these. Character selection is key for me. I’m already all in on all the different retros from all eras. I’m not sure I can’t make room for BCAs outside the 96-00 timeframe. But we shall see.

If it’s someone Chella has already announced or made as a Retro or 7-inch Uncensored figure, I think there is a very good chance that they will have a BCW, as well. Especially if they have a connection to promotions of the past. I’d be surprised if they went too modern with the line, because initially, I don’t think that’s what collectors want most. Nick Aldis would be good for later down the road, if he’s still signed by then, or once the line is more established. I’m thinking more BCA “What Ifs” like Adam Bomb, who absolutely would have been made by Jakks if they had the license sooner/during the dying days of Hasbros. I’m not sure how deep Chella/FC can dig without drawing the ire of WWE, but I’m excited to find out.

I love the BCA line and I may not collect them as much as the current day figures, but they are something I definitely am interested. What I want from this line is fill in the gaps that the original bca line didn't get the chance to make in the past. I would be more interested if the can do AE guys from that era. Also be interested in WCW guys too!

Well crap. Bye bye money.
My childhood basically spanned the mid-late Hasbro era and BCA line, but the BCAs were absolutely my jam. And while they covered a decent amount of territory, there should still be a lot of ground to cover either in terms of early guys from 96 before the line really filled out or looking at WCW/ECW talent. I've been both waiting for someone to take up this style and absolutely dreading it from a cost/space perspective.
Not sure how deep I'm willing to dive - whether I'd just do WWF, or add some guys from other federations.

Bone Crunchers in my opinion were the most playable wrestling figures that have ever been released.

I get if they add to the already large WWF roster already out there to start with it would probably give the line more legs going forward. If we could get an Adam Bomb, Bull Nakano and Dynamite Kid from the already made in Retro form talent, I'd be all for it.

Bone Crunchers in my opinion were the most playable wrestling figures that have ever been released. 100% agree with you there. I grew up during that weird period where there were BCAs, TTLs and RAs still on shelves consistently - so I never had any of the classic BCA figs (apart from Kane) but I had a Billy Gunn, ABA Taker, HHH, Hogan, Eddie and Kurt in BCA style which I played with relentlessly. I'm pretty sure they're up in the attic, so I may have to dig them out for a bit of nostalgia.

I’ve always kind of wanted wrestler bodies for the women that fought in the ring. I’d bet there would even be interest in doing a Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks. There’s no reason to believe this line can’t branch out beyond the Attitude Era. Don’t get me wrong, tapping into unreleased names from the AE would be ideal for all of our existing BCA collections, but I think there’s potential to mirror another great line of the late ‘90s with a broad scope and scale similar to BCAs - Legends of Professional Wrestling.

I used to beat the hell out of my figures and have pretty intense matches, and rarely did I have an issue with a figure that some hot glue couldn't fix. When they introduced the TTL line, a friend bought a few. They just seemed so fragile. I couldn't see being able to play with them in the same way, and the sculpting looked too cartoonish. I decided I wouldn't buy figures past the BCA line. I kept playing for a few months after the line died, but the lack of new characters eventually killed that too. Didn't buy another wrestling figure until I found the Mattel line a few years ago. Definitely interested to see if these figures capture that same feel.

Oh absolutely, I don’t see any reason why we can’t get stars from all eras. What I was meaning was that maybe starting off with niche characters might not be the best thing, but there’s such a market out there especially right now, for as many wrestlers featured as possible. I think Chella have such a core fan base that’s growing every day, I know personally that whatever they want to put out there’s a good chance I’m gonna buy it. I’m loving supporting the company and have had such a positive experience from the figures, and from the company personally that it’s only fair. I’m buzzing if I’m honest for the reveal of the Series 1 lineup! I can’t wait!

I wouldn’t get hung up on Series 1 needing to be this blow -away, iconic lineup on par with Jakks’ Series 1, because that’s most definitely not realistic. Whomever they have access to, I say go for it and make them while they can. Even if eras are crossed and the only common bond between the names is that they’ve been in a wrestling ring, that’s a million times better than not having a line at all. Chella has laid a solid foundation upon which the BCWs are fortunate to stand. Everyone who supported Chella up to this point has made additional lines possible, and I’ll never take that for granted. Just to get to witness a rebirth of my favorite style of wrestling figure means the world to me. I feel as optimistic as I felt when Mattel unveiled their first series of Retros. I would have been content with just the first wave, let alone all that we got in the years since. As corny as it sounds, that reveal felt like going home again, but this one hits even closer to home. This news damn near pierced my heart lol.

As a kid, I had a bunch of BCAs break on me (especially heads), but TTLs never did. Loved both though!

We don't realise how fortunate we are at the moment with the amount of companies bringing back some of our childhood styles of figures. It should definitely not be taken for granted and it has me excited for the future.

I am beyond thrilled with the outpouring of support for this line! Just so you guys know, I'm doing everything in my power to make sure its a real tribute to the past. There's a small team of us working on this and I have full confidence it'll be something everyone will love! By the way, series one will have one two pack!
