I just began to pick up beat up / worn WWF LJN figures so I can restore them. Cleaning them and repainting them isnt an issue, but one thing I struggle with and hope someone can offer some assistance is how to get the shine back on them? Some of the figures I have are shiny in some spots, but in other large areas the shine is gone and its a worn look. How can I get them to have that "newer" shiny look on the worn areas once I am done cleaning and painting them?
Thanks!!

Have you already tried silicone spray? This would be my first choice.

I have not. Is there a particular brand that is best?
I tried clear coat on one and that did not go well. It was sticky as hell and stayed sticky until I cleaned it off.

A really good cleaning is about it, the rubber just fades and dulls due to various reasons. Ive collected at customized ljns most of my life. When acquiring used ljns its hit or miss on the shine they still have. Dawn dish soap in warm water with a wash cloth has always been my best bet at bringing life back to them. Spray sealers and certain paints will definitely leave them sticky
