Never really understood why they didn’t put out all the looks they could while they had him signed. They did it with Fred Ottman as we got Shockmaster, Tugboat and Typhoon in quick succession. Also we’ve had multiple Beefcakes. Strange that they didn’t follow up Demolition Crush with a Kona or two. Pretty sure the story was that his deal was about to expire, and they were trying to rush a figure to market. Since Demolition already had sculpting/parts, they basically needed to make him a bit taller and sculpt a head. While a solo run Crush would have involved more detailed paint apps, deco, etc. that would have taken longer. He was one of the wrestlers signed directly by Mattel, and they had phased out the Legends line. I think Bruno and maybe one or two other legends around that time were in a similar situation. |

This thread has been going on all month. It would be a slam dunk if his estate signed. A major disappointment if these figures never happen. Sure hope they do.
