It surprises me looking at Takers list just how many mid carders he had to deal with.

I would go with HHH. From 2000-2009, he was usually in a world championship match and from 2011-2019, he was always booking himself against whoever was generating the most buzz. The Undertaker wrestled so many midcarders, people are always doing fantasy rebookings of his Wrestlemania opponents.

Taker
He wrestled 17 men who held WWE/World Heavyweight Championships at some point in their career. And Ric Flair.

I’d say Hogan, Triple H or Bret. I would like to say Orton, but there’s a lot of guys on his list that I feel are lesser caliber opponents to himself and the wrestlers on the other lists.

Not to top an old thread but doing some Mania rewatches and have to say, Batista had an impressive Wrestlemania run.
20: Rock and Foley 21: Triple H 23: Undertaker 24: Umaga 26: Cena 30: Orton and Bryan 35: Triple H
Outside of a underwhelming match with Umaga, the guy faced some of the biggest names in the companies history.

Hogan is easily #1. Outside of Flair, Hogan faced all of THE top heels of the 80s, and even went against the 1-B face in Warrior. Then nearly a decade after his first run, he comes back and faces Rock and McMahon. Hard to top this.
Brock comes to mind for me too…
WM19: Angle WM20: Goldberg WM29: HHH WM30: Taker WM31: Reigns (and technically Rollins) WM32: Ambrose WM33: Goldberg WM34: Reigns WM35: Rollins WM36: McIntyre WM38: Reigns
Unlike someone like Taker who never seemed to face “The Top Guy” at the time of WM, Brock has been tangling with all the legit top faces/heels opposite of him outside of Ambrose and McIntyre (I say McIntyre based on hindsight and where he is booked now relative to then).

Savage had an impressive run. He also discretely wrestles in the Heavyweight Title match in 3 of 4 Manias in a row. Either your math is off, or mine is. Mania 4, 5, and 8. 3 out of 5.
