idk if anyone would buy a Brandon Cutler figure. But it would make for a good figure. Because u can have his ring gear, under soft goods track suit and facemask. Give him cold spray and camera accessories.

They had the perfect opportunity to set up Martin vs Rush for next week...it was right there...
Either way I'm excited to be there. đ

Nice ass whooping by Bryan. I liked that he went for the stomps after the match while Silver was out. Made it look more vicious. I wish he would have got a few more in before Page hit the ring, but whatever.
Good show but I was expecting more of a vibe. The fans seemed to all just be yelling random sh*t rather than coordinated chants that could be heard more clearly.
Riho took some nasty bumps in her match with Hayter. That brainbuster looked like it was going to cause her a problem.
Hook on Friday. I have no guesses how that's going to go.

Cody Vs Sammy? Oof. They should have never taken the belt off Miro.

I felt like the whole MJF babyface reaction was orchestrated by AEW. When his music first hit, before they even knew it was Punk, it was an OK pop AT BEST. They didnât blow the roof off. Then Punk came out and again, there was still a loud CM Punk chant. I didnât get that, i can understand a heroes welcome, but I donât understand him acting babyface to the crowd.
Bret Hart didnât change who he was in Canada, he was just hated in America for the same things the Canada crowd took to. MJF was acting like a babyface on the way to the ringâŠ.meh, that was a misstep by AEW. I didnât like it. I know they thought it was Bret in Canada but it wasnât, and MJF wasnât even really cheered until they made Punk heel on the crowd and they convinced the LI fans to cheer for MJF. Like I said, when his music first hit, they didnât blow the roof off, so there were no plans by this crowd to give MJF the heroes welcome. They were talked into it
There was a tongue and cheek way for MJF to act like the a-hole he always is, but make the connection that this is how ALL Long Islanders act. THATS Bret in Canada. Because the outside fans can say âwhy is he such a prickâ and the LI-ers can say, thatâs how we all act what are you talking about? That would give him a home town flavor. What they did was just turn him babyface for 1 show
Thereâs a difference between being cheered as a babyface and being a babyface. MJF was acting babyface, rather than the crowd reacting to his normally heel antics with a baby face reaction. AND I KNOW you guys will say. HE GOT A MASSIVE POP, but he really didnât. He didnât. For THAT type of reaction he got, I wouldnât have changed characters for that. He should have just been the prick he always is and they might have cheered him a little bit more over time.
Put it this way, if you think AEW was confident in MJF getting a babyface reaction, they wouldnât have sent Punk out to ensure it. And if you donât think Punk was out there to get MJF over, youâre not paying attention.

Also, Cody has easily become the most interesting part of the show and nobody realizes it yet

LI is where he is from. It's only natural for him to act like a babyface because he IS one there. Sure, they could have had him come out and smack talked CM Punk but Punk already went too long trying to rile the crowd up. And the pop for MJF was just fine. Maybe your TV is old? And his attack on Martin was perfect MJF.

THAT was a pop worth playing too! When Hogan wrestled Rock at WMX8, Hulk was a heelâŠTHAT was a pop worth turning babyface for! The MJF one was just like, ehâŠok heâs from LI. They werenât going wild for MJF by any means, even after the show they rolled him out again and it was cringe. Watch how silent the crowd goes after he shouts âMidâ. Itâs cringe. It wasnât Punk in Chicago, it wasnât Hart in Montreal, they just WANTED it to be. It was very obvious. They wanted to make it so, they even tried to tee it up in interviews this week and lead the fans. He didnât have to heel on the crowd but he didnât need to Jericho â96 with them either. He came out like one of the friggin American MalesâŠblah. I didnât like it. It was poorly done. I couldnât help but think that Long Island was forced to champion MJF when they would have preferred to just have the big names out there like all the other towns get.

As someone living in NY, we'll just have to agree to disagree. I live here too lol I'm in Brooklyn. I'd never seen so many MJF shirts, scraves, signs, etc. than last night. It was a perfect place for him to be. Not sure what you were expecting. He's NOT Punk, he's not Hogan, lol. It was the perfect scenario for someone like him. Next thing you'll tell me was that the Virginia crowd wasn't loud enough for Hangman.
