First reported by Fightful, Kevin Owens has re-signed with the company with a new high paying multi year deal.
Im happy for the guy. I know everyone swore up and down he was out the door but at the end of the day the dude is a family man and I’m sure he did was best for him and his family. Excited to see if this effects Day 1 and really hope a feud with Edge is on the horizon.

Pretty unexpected. Hopefully he's happy with his new deal, is earning a lot of money and they start using him right.

My first thought was, "Owen's didn't sign with the WWE so he will be the one taking the pin fall lost at Day 1 PPV" but now knowing this.... could Owens pull the upset and win??
And yes, I do say it would be an upset with how they handled Owens in the past few years, him beating Seth, Lashley and Big E to become WWE Champion would be an upset.

Good, now I want him to be in the main event scene until the day he retires.

He got paid. He’s not gonna be used as anything more than a main event enhancement talent. He’s the guy who works with big guys and takes the pinfalls. I guess his focus was on money and security.

Outside of money, I don't see any appeal in being in the WWE in 2021.

He apparently did a podcast in which he explains his decision that should hit tomorrow.

Honestly, it does make sense. AEW is flooded with big names right now that are all in their honeymoon period. He would get lost in the shuffle for a year. Why not spend that time making huge paychecks and working safe with WWE?

Above all else, I'm glad he got paid handsomely for his talents.

Hoping Sami stays too. I don’t think he needs to be a World Champion to have a great career but would like to see it happen and believe it’s more likely in WWE.

Why not spend that time making huge paychecks and working safe with WWE? He may not always been in the most creative stories but he’s ALWAYS in a feud and featured on television weekly. If he went to AEW, only having one brand and one main show, chances are he wouldn’t be doing much because of the amount of people they already have that they’re struggling to feature as it is

it’s unfortunate, that’s for sure, but if it’s best for his situation good for him.

1) Im glad he wont get lost in the shuffle & random booking of AEW
2) Hopefully he takes the title off of Big E who honestly has had one of the worst title reigns in the past 20 years.

He really wants to work with edge is my bet as a huge reason to staying.

Or he might enjoy performing and not be a bitter mark who gets upset whenever he “loses” a pretend fight. 😂 Knowing Vince, DAE Owens will be released in six months anyway.
