2 big things to consider...
1)HHH received a savage buildup before his return too folks crowd was well prepped for his return
2) even though he was a heel departing? He was a cool heel...& the 2 man power trip wasn't even close to being universally booed....fans were cheering like crazy when they were beating the tar out of most folks...
He had the respect of the fans due to his body of work.
