Yes, he was still officially undefeated, though Hogan and Warrior had beaten him at house shows. I remember hearing that this was done to give Beefcake a boost (being the first one to pin Perfect). Even though Beefcake was not going to beat him at SSL90, it was just done to make Beefcake look like a strong contender and that he could possibly beat Perfect for the title. People joke about beefcake but he was extremely over in that period Yes he was.

Brock beating Roman WM 34 Brocks universal title run wasn’t horrible until we got this garbage; it ran its course by this point. On top of some really flat matches as champ. I think we needed 2003 Lesnar work rate for AJ Styles match for example. The only good match was the summer slam one imo. He had good opponents to take down over the year. But; it just was all flat. This match could of been good I swear by it. Romans matured and grown since 2015; but the one thing he never beat Brock it what should have been it’s moment. Nothing less nothing more. Roman wins; Brock wins for the useless plot device for Summer Slam. Which was just going to rewrite WM loss; and all we got was garbage and nothing. We get nothing out of Brock; Roman went on horrible run of useless PPV matches. We get even worse match at SS 18. Roman finally gets the baby face run as champ and gets sick horrible for Roman. But; even there Brock didn’t need the belt back; Braun was still capable and not damaged enough. Have Brock and Seth run as side program to mania; for Seth to slay Braun.
Stars like Braun; Rollins; Samoa Joe; The Miz we’re all capable to have a run at the time. And I’m sure if you had Braun pillaging the roster; or The Miz having JBL styled cheating run; Joe tearing it up; or baby face Rollins because let’s face it he was way more over in 2018 then 19; I’m sure the fans of today would turn on all of these Raw in 2017-2018 could of been fun time. The universal title remained garbage title until Roman took it back in 2020
Jericho Beating Edge WM 26 9 yr old me lost it. On top of it could of been great swerve if like Jericho didn’t lose it to Swagger. Who had such forgettable run and was far from ready. If you had Jericho run with it; edge take the gold at Extreme Rules 2010 whatever just poor choice to give swagger the belt

For as much of a Bret fan as I am, I always hated Luger losing to Yoko at WM10 after what 8 months of build. Yeah I wanted Bret vs Luger as the main event. Even if it meant Luger losing the title after only holding it for a short time. At least he could have said he was a former WWF world champion.

Luger losing to Bret and becoming the Narcissist again is peak fantasy booking for me lol
