Walmart WWE Superstars line

Saw a post mentioning these are now available in the UK. I’m presuming that’s referring to something other than the import stores they’ve always been available from (Whole Shebang, Wrestling Shop etc). Where?

I am positive creations will pick it up. The problem creations has with the retros is that there are no chase figures. They recently added cardback chases to the colliseum collection and now those are selling better. They need to do the same for retros and once these superstars go up they should do cardback chases for every figure as well. Watch them sell out.

In either case. All of us would be able to buy them as their preorder windows usually stay up for quite a while. Anyone that would miss out is not paying attention. I love the collectors in this thread but many do not know the history of this line and what happened in 2023 especially and how we only had one 3rd party seller at one point. (Paul). Everyone bought from him and he undercut walmart to the point that people cancelled their preorders even before walmart could cancel them. By the time s4 came out almost everyone had wave 4 already.(all from paul)

Bottom line, people noticed and now paul is small fries compared to the others who as i mentioned get dozens of cases at a time. But those other sellers auction everything off and with the help of shillbidders prices are now higher than ever.

We fed the beast (paul) and then he gave birth to at least 5 others. For me it is particularly frustrating to see some people here clamor to be the first to have the new waves but i promise they are making 10s of thousands of these. They will not be worth 100s of dollars. Ever. These are not limited. Just look at hasbro retros. Only the later series and the mailaways are worth anything.

There is zero reason to pay full price for these especially because paul doesnt guarantee unpunched cards. You do not even see the condition of the cards. Only pay full retail if they are mint on card.

I know this is the only way we will see change. If the line stays with walmart, it will die with walmart.

£25 isn't that bad considering it's 30+ from other places

I knew someone who used to do this. I'm not 100% sure of the ins and outs, but I know he said he had to have a business or legit online business, and he had to make some sort of deal with Mattel similar to what stores like Walmart do, but obviously on a much smaller scale. Again, I don't know anything about the details. From what I remember, he received some elite exclusives by the case (Neidhart, Davey Boy Smith, etc) , but most of the exclusive lines they wouldn't do (Target Legends, etc). Don't know much else other than that, but it does seem weird that other vendors are able to get Superstars like that. If that's true then why doesn't Ringside start getting the new ones?

-Mattel license selling cost (Hot wheels alone in 2001 was 5k worth of merchandise).
-Being close to el segundo, ca (most dealers sell in pomona (frank'n'sons warehouse toy weekly toy show) on wed/sat) and pick up new cases on friday. I had friends who did this 20 years ago.

It is not difficult. Just comes down to how deep your pockets are



I have said before that we should group think on this but noone here is from ca. True collectors are in northeast, yet we are last on the food chain. We should be running this ship, instead we are being treated like dog s... and totally ignored. Sick of it

When you get to the point where walmart themselves are selling their figures for 7$ more than their own retail cost and purposely redirecting official preorder links to supposed 3rd party walmart partners (who to me is just walmart in disguise ) than you start to realize that walmart is acting like toybiz and ebay and scalping us (they know people keep buying them )and they know who is buying them (and specifically from which states, they know there aren't many from california for example). Believe me when i tell you they have a rolodex of addresses like any serious enterprise does to keep tabs on repeat customers and to see what products are hot or not.

We are being played with. We need to stop paying 30$ for a line that is mass produced. Everyone here needs to realize this. We can change this situation together. Dont be fooled by the high number of bids on ebay auctions. They are not serious bids. These are inflated prices. Noone should be paying more than 15$ for these on the aftermarket. Just look at the endless mr.perfects that sultan guy has.

In the possible scenario that walmart specificslly sold s6 to him and a few others it proves they are working together on this and mattel is feeding walmart their "mattel partners". It feels a bit like a mafia family working together to gauge their customers but thats it in a nutshell. They are all in on it together, purposely keeping demand high for areas with the highest number of buyers online.

The things to remember also is the huge amount of backorders and overflowing merchandise in walmart warehouses (google this situation online and see for yourself). Walmart has an incentive to sell these figures online and reduce their retail inventory. They are still catching up (all due to the pandemuc and cargo bay blockages at sea and at the panama canal).

What better way than to sell online anonymously and make a few extra bucks the way goodwill and most thrift stores do these days. Why not sell something online for 60 instead of 20 or 27 instead of 20. Multiply that transaction 10,000 times and profits galore. Walmart may be unorganized but they are not stupid. Their profit reports are great but they need room in the aisles for the next reset and red pants hogan is not moving.... so the hero in cape is a sultan who helped move a series that could not be put out at retail due to 2023 pegwarmers.

In the end it comes down to transparency. Tell the truth. Stop treating us like idiots. We know this line is not exclusive to walmart. We have eyes. It is just a total disrespect for your true base of support. Oh yeah because the word "exclusive" helps to sell these on ebay. THIS IS WHY WE NEED TO EDUCATE EVERYONE ABOUT THIS LINE. for every 5 of us here, there are 20 people just reading along, most of whom have never read all 168 pages.

saw doink for the first time in southern PA at a York Walmart i believe. otherwise I haven't seen any new ones. my main 3 WM consist of ROCK and piper and Dibiase.

They had boss man and Kurt angle at my closest Walmart first new ones since series 6!
