How do guys on Ebay like Sultan get what seems to be these figures by the truckload yet my local Walmart has like a single figure that they never restock?
Where is the disconnect here?

There is a few guys that we assume get product straight from Mattel or possibly WM early then sell it for 4 times more. How, IDK they pay for it I guess sultan of swat 2 is one of the guys. He is a tricky one where he will post an item, then resell it to see if he can get more. If he makes more $ then he will ship it to whoever spent more. there is a list here of guys who do that. Its what this hobby has turned into. I for sure will not ever buy from sultan of swat 2.

Wouldn't that create possible legal issues with WM and Mattel? Seems like an extremely risky move if that were in fact true.

Someone mentioned it in this thread previously that they are only exclusive to WM in the US. Theoretically if the buyer had an address outside of the exclusive market, they would be able to purchase product from Mattel directly as a reseller (likely having to purchase a minimum amount of cases per order).

I don't see on their site where it says wm exclusives. funny going through their website only certain figures say exclusive. hall, nash, flair, nwo hogan are the only ones on their site that says this.

I think they -are- WM exclusives, and WM just has shoddy listings on their website. If they weren't WM exclusive, wouldn't Mattel want to make more $$ selling them on Ringside or MattyCollector as well?

Small online retailers aren’t direct competitors to Walmart. I’m sure there’s something in the language of their deal that Mattel has a minimum order quantity they have to place with the factory and if Walmart doesn’t place an order meeting that amount then they can sell the remaining stock to these online stores.

I guess that means Walmart ordered 13 Mr perfects and the rest went to those guys haha

I still don't understand why Mattel made a Chase Razor with long tights, he never wore long tights, did he? The blue (regular) variant looks much, much nicer IMO.

Which I agree with you, it's a little TOO obscure, especially for a series like this where spots are limited. There are a lot of names that haven't been made yet. Really baffling choice IMO. I'm happy for the people who were just clamoring for that "Dark Match Razor Ramon attire".

I like it that being said there are certainly other attires I would have picked like the yellow or black with red vest it's honestly though the first variant that I really want to pick up of course if the choice were to have a unique figure like diesel instead of having a variant I would have picked the unique figure

I'm not a big fan of chases, usually harder to find, and reasons like this Razor only wore this a handful of times.

More like 5- how many people actually saw series 6 in stores, I'd wager that it was only a handful.
Walmart has done such a terrible job with this line, I don't understand why they want to keep the exclusive?! Why doesn't Mattel offer them another exclusive, some way to get them to give up the exclusive (or better yet to drop the line completely) so they can find another home for this line because it deserves better treatment then its getting from Walmart.

Steve said that the line will start having a new part number allowing all the old stock to be clearanced out

The lineup choices have been questionable as of late, I wonder who makes the decision on who gets made, I doubt its the guy who designs these figures?!
70s Hogan over late 80's / early 90s Hogan which they would not have been able to keep on the shelves compared to this figure which they can't get rid of.
Rey Mysterio & Cactus Jack ahead of Stone Cold??
90s Hart Foundation over 80s Hart Foundation which would sell better due to the huge popularity of the Golden Era.
WCW Eddie Guerrero over Latino Heat?

I’m guessing he didn’t give an estimated time frame for when the clearances would start? I just asked this in the Steve Q&A thread. Glad it got answered somewhere:)
