Can anyone help me identify the formula jakks used to make the figures in this line? Most all from the series 1-3 have the same arms and torso but with different shades of skin tone Most of them have their Real Scan heads that were used on previous figures made before from TTL figures. I guess the main question is if I were to try to duplicate the style of these Backlash figures what other Jakks BCA figures would be used? Especially the legs, I’ve racked my brain trying to think about which figure might have had the legs used for most of the figures in the line but I can’t seem to figure it out.

Everything starts with the Bone Crunching Superstars Series. Jakks developed all new BCA-style molds which scaled slightly taller/leaner than the original BCA figures of the mid-to-late ‘90s. This line did not feature any recycled parts from the original style. There was sort of a base body that was shared by most, but some had unique parts, like Angle, Rock, Undertaker, The Hardyz, and The Dudleyz. I’m not sure if you’re wanting to make a custom using these parts or just a checklist of parts, but I’ll see if I can put together something for you.

I’m not sure if you’re wanting to make a custom using these parts or just a checklist of parts, but I’ll see if I can put together something for you. Well the reason I ask is because I have the Hogan figure and I had some parts I bought years ago from the storm collectibles hogan, shirt, belt, boa’s and glasses and so since they were just sitting there I put ‘em on this Backlash Hogan and it just popped. Shirt and belt were alittle big but once I put the boa’s on it really just made the figure look 100xs better. So then I started thinking a BCA WM18 Hollywood in the same scale and style as this Backlash Hogan would be cool, I have a few spare cloth nWo shirts, the R3tech Hollywood is fairly cheap so I would use that head(if I could find one with the boa’s that would be a plus) and I think the Toybiz weight belts they made would be a better fit so if I could come across the white one they made that’d be great. I don’t know if “Hollywood” is on the back of that one though or if it’s a red nWo logo been so long since I had that figure. The Backlash Hogan is alittle pricey now so I was trying to find a way to somewhat duplicate this figure without customizing the original Backlash Hogan figure. Of course buying the Hogan and swapping the head, painting the tights black would probably be easy but once you factor in finding the belt/boas,buying the R3 hogan and the Backlash Hogan(which is hard to find sometimes) probably spending $100+ and then customizing a rare Figure like this wouldn’t be ideal in my opinion…just seems to nostalgic to even consider. I want to show my Hogan with all the accessories to you guys, how do I do that since uploading photos from my phone library doesn’t seem to be an option 🤨

I don’t think any others had a tan like that with long tights and white boots. Repainting the tights on a beat-up loose Hogan would be the way to go. I’m in agreement with you as far as customizing a perfectly good mint figure. Maybe you could use Bone Crunching Superstars Series 1 Chris Jericho’s lower body and just paint the boots white, but I think it would be simpler to just work on a Hogan figure.
