Had heard that before. It’s strange when you think of the talent starved era’s he wrestled in. Would have been considered as one of the favourites had he entered, say, the 95 rumble.

Yup it's crazy...I understand 93...& 94 was fairly stacked...but in 95 which was a talent starved RR? Razor should have done double duty.
It would have been weird to see him in the 96 RR after the events of that night

Razor was always in a title picture at the Rumble, whether the WWF Title at '93 or the IC Title from '94 - '96.
I am sure if he had remained in the WWF he for sure would have been in the 1997 Royal Rumble match.

Razor was a fixture of the IC Title scene post the ‘93 Rumble, though it’s still weird he never competed in a match consisting of 30 people when he had 4 shots at it. He probably should have been thrown in the 1995 Rumble and pulled double duty that night.

Always knew that Scott Hall never competed in a RR.
Another big name never to compete in RR is Ricky Steamboat.

Have known this little factoid since I was a kid only because Razor mentions it himself during this interview before his match with Goldust at the 1996 Royal Rumble. Scroll to 2:20He was, however, a co-winner of that Intercontinental Battle Royal on Raw in 1993 (along with Rick Martel) and defeated him the following week to earn his first Intercontinental title.

It was completely starved of star power & genuinely there were only 3/4 guys in there that could be legit winners. Jobber fest

Jobber fest Would have made Michaels and Bulldog being there at the start and the end a credible achievement too. Aside from them you had... Luger and maybe Owen as somewhat believable winners? Didn't help at all that Owen lasted something like 4 seconds.

No, he wasn't.
He wrestled Jeff Jarrett at that MSG show, and then came down in the Rumble match to help get HBK eliminated and then brawled with HBK to the back.
So Razor Ramon wasn't even in that rumble match either.

I remember years ago someone saying there were only 4 guys in the 95 Rumble with star power-HBK, Bulldog, Lex and Owen or Backlund. With adding some of the guys on the undercard I wonder what would have happened since apparently it was time constraints that made the intervals so short. As a kid I liked seeing all those gimmick guys on a PPV but looking back now, it was pretty awful. It's like some indy version of a Rumble.
