I personally have set up at several comic conventions as an author and as a store owner. I go for business and for shop publicity. All the other booths and guests are fun as well though! This last one we set up for was in October and we had the "comic book men" guys from the TV show, it was ming and the guy with the grey hair, i cant remember his name, directly behind us, they were loud, annoying, and inappropriate a lot of times. This was a family friendly show and they got warned by staff lol.

Interesting was at a comic con one time and the guy who played Debo from Friday smelt like weed. Definitely interesting as his personality didn’t change at all still the same personality.

I go for the shopping, I've only met Lou Ferrigno by accident as a kid. His hands were like baseball mits. lol.

I love going to them. I mostly go for wrestler autographs & do toy shopping. It all started with a trip to Chicago for ACE Comic Con, now I go every year to local ones (Knoxville) and occasional ones in Nashville & Huntsville, AL

Before the pandemic, I'd try to go to as many as I could. I mainly go for the nostalgia. My niece & her boyfriend set up a few big ones in NJ. www.gardenstatecomicfest.com/guestsheI do cosplay as well. I sometimes go as Quint (from Jaws) or a broken talking Hasbro GI Joe Land Adventure action figure from 1974.

I've been to steel city con ONCE.
It was in the summer and they had LeVar Burton and Brent Spiner as guests and somehow didn't anticipate a massive crowd. I had to wait 2 hours in 90 degree weather to get in. No shade, nowhere to sit down.
I walked around the toy section one time, realized there was also nowhere to sit down inside, and left.
Haven't been to a convention since and SSC consistently has wrestlers. Britt Baker was at the last one I think. Mick Foley was at one recently too. Didn't bother.

I used to dig them a lot. I think in ideal conditions, I'd still go to a smaller one. The last time I went to NYCC, it was just too much - crowded to the point that it made it hard to enjoy. I've been to NYCC twice, Wizard World the one time they came to Boston, and pre-pandemic we used to do a bunch of regional more anime leaning cons like ConnectiCon and Anime Boston.

I've only been to one. Ended up meeting Jake The Snake Roberts after his panel. It was fun but not something that takes my interest though.

Been to two, both in Belfast. I didn't think they were that great but not the worst thing I've ever been to. I got my DM Hulk Hogan at the first, and met Carl Weathers at the second. Those were the highlights haha.
Thinking of going to Liverpool Comic Con this November since the cast of Cobra Kai will be there.

I personally like going to them especially to different cities I never been too. I kinda like getting out and checking new places out.
I went to NYCC and would say it is awesome but very expensive. I like going to smaller ones I really want to check out steel city and the garden state one.

I've been tempted to go but have never been to one. Is it worth it?

I've been tempted to go but have never been to one. Is it worth it? It depends on what you're looking for. Comics, toys, artwork, celebrity appearances, custom pieces, cosplay, etc. Always check the convention's website to find out who will he there & how much the admission fee is.

I went to one in fall 2019 in Louisville, but mainly just used it to meet wrestlers, specifically Jerry Lawler and Mick Foley. Also went to ones in 2008 and 2011 - I was a little more into comics during the '08 one (since it occurred right after the release of The Dark Knight, which re-sparked my interest in comic books), so I bought a comic. I also met some horror movie stars at that one (not a fan of horror, but the friends I was there with were, so I went along with it), and met Al Snow. At the 2011 one I met Henry Winkler.

Yeah he definitely is correct. It’s great to go to one just to say you went to one they’re always interesting.

I always went to Fan Fest in Toronto. I would always grab as many GI Joes as I could get my hands on. I liked going on day 3 of 3. A lot of things have been bought, but a lot of the vendors will give you GREAT deals so they don't have to re-pack as much stuff to bring back to their store/set up.
I went to the bathroom one year and David Hasselhoff (he was one of the celebrities signing autographs) was walking towards me with a couple of security guys. As I got closer I said, "Hey Hoff, what's up buddy?" At that point I realized he was WASTED. He said something along the lines of "hello" as he tried to pat me on the shoulder but missed and was patting me on the ear, face and head.
When I got back to where my girlfriend was I'll never forget her saying, "Why was David Hasselhoff touching your face?" HAHAHAHAHAHA.
The very first one we went to was her idea. I didn't want to go. I reluctantly did. We walk through the first set of doors after we paid and I see Virgil leaning up against a wall using a payphone. I waved at him and he waved back. I was like, F*CK yeah I met Virgil. We went every year after that until the Cove Cove put an end to it.

I'm going to sound like a dirty old man, but some of the female cosplayers look absolutely gorgeous.

I've been to Glasgow's version a couple times. Met a couple wrestlers, and the actors that played Darth Vader & Boba Fett. My favourite though was Veronica Taylor, she was the voice of Ash Ketchum in the original Pokemon anime and she was so lovely. I got my season 1 DVD signed and I still have it!
Favourite buy though was I managed to get an XY Flashfire booster box for a good price. Not had much luck figure wise, but I just love looking around all the stalls.
