I got some of my old moc Legends figs out of storage the other day and man I forgot how nice the packaging was! Does anyone else think they missed a trick not continuing the carded look. They could have always made them a bit smaller but kept the same look and feel. Todays feel very cheap and boring in comparison. What does everyone else think?

I went with the old one. But I do like both. Also, I like the figures you chose for a visual reference.

I’ll be honest, I don’t care for packaging as long as the figures have detail. I do appreciate things like limited edition packaging, but for the most part it goes in the trash immediately. It was one of the things that didn’t bother me about the ultimate edition boxes, you can get away with minimal design if it looks clean.

New TBH. I much prefer a "box" look over an adhesive bubble card. I do wish the image of the wrestler was still on the background of the card though.

Old. Personally, I've never been a fan of packaging where the figure isn't fully visible.

Old, due to the fact it's harder to repack.

Old, due to the fact it's harder to repack. I thought the same thing. Old for me too

I prefer the new packaging, but I wish Mattel stuck with the packaging from the Elite 64 era. You could see the full figure, loved the color scheme, and it was a straight up rectangle shape.

Does anyone else think they missed a trick not continuing the carded look. They could have always made them a bit smaller but kept the same look and feel. I asked Steve about the packaging change a while back... Was the Legends packaging from Series 1-6 (ie. cardback and bubble/blister) considered for Series 7 on, when the series returned? Was there any particular reason you didn't use it? Cheers. The current state of retail dictated an evolution of packaging here. You build a lot of your line to planogram and that includes packaging size. The old packaging was just too big for us now.

Old. Even though the new one sorta uses the same art style, it just looks better on the card.

i prefer the new style. the giant mass of clear plastic is really not that nice. i like the font on the old packaging better, though.

I do like the old style, but it was too big for me. If it had been scaled down and then re used that would have been a good middle ground, but just putting the Legends in Elite boxes feels a wee bitty cheap.

I like them both a lot but the old ones were awfully big. I sort of like how the new one is uniform with that line of Elite figures, too, so they can be displayed nicely. I'm gonna go with current.

Old by a mile. Some of the best packaging of any figure line ever imo, and definitely the best from this line.

The old ones. Maybe it’s nostalgia but I always felt they were special when I saw them at the store.
