Sting has submitted guys like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Rick Rude, Meng, etc with the Scorpion Deathlock, but couldnt get Max Caster to tap out to it. i guess if you wanna get kayfabe with it...today's guys are more flexible. maybe? i dunno, i'm just making this crap up as i go haha

Thought it was a fun show. You could hear a pin drop during Moxley's segment, so poignant. Wish the crowd had that much respect for Cody but that's his thing right now.
Really enjoyed the mixed tag, lots of energy. Lights Out should be interesting, do they allow Cole to eat a loss without it counting against his record. Won't lie and say I'm ready to see Adam Cole move on.
HoB needed more establishment than one match before setting Pac up for a run at them. But that segment was awesome. As for Andrade's new venture, that has hostile takeover written all over it. Half expected Matt to be dismissed tonight.
Anna Jay is another woman more deserving of the TBS Title, but Jade will be untouchable for quite a while.
Just trust Lance to do his own stuff! They're making the move because Jake isn't always there to second him but make that a reason why he's gone psycho with no handler. Sad sack of skittles is now involved with two major foes and that's one more step toward him being aligned with a champion, something I will not stick around to watch.

Fantastic episode, enjoyed almost every bit.
I love that they tweeted the clip with the F-bomb and all. I hope that dude got his ass kicked in the parking lot. I'm sure Cash or Dax would have been happy to oblige.
Lights out carries an interesting idea with it being in Cleveland, and Johnny being such a good fit for the Best Friends.
I'm so confused that Julia didn't drop the patch with makeup underneath and turn. Just strange.
That Cody promo was effing phenomenal. Really wish those idiots in the crowd could've shut up for it though. I'm glad he mostly just talked over them and ignored them. It was too good to waste on that crap. Best one he's done in AEW for sure. The only others I can think of that rival it were his post All In promos, both in the ring and the one where he was cocky heel cody with NWA title doing a press conference. I'm so excited to watch his story play out.
Enjoyed everything top to bottom. Excited for the next couple of shows.
Also noticed during the show that Marina Shafir has a shirt on shopAEW now, so she's on some type of agreement, excited for that. She's improved a crap ton since leaving NXT.

All I have to say about the Mox promo is wow. You could hear a pin drop during the meat of his promo, people in that arena were ready to hang on his every word. Dude looks good, hopefully only good things for him in 2022.

I caught parts of the show throughout the night but I was watching the Heat play so I missed a lot of it and had to catch up after.
I'm really glad to see Mox back and like I said before he looks like Ambrose and while I did dig his super muscular look a while back it's good to see him down a few pounds and looking a lot better than he did the last time he was on the show.
CM Punk beating Shawn Spears in like 5 seconds is really good because it reminds me of when he was Tye Dillinger which is arguably the peak of his career ...
I skipped the Cole/Baker vs. OC/Statlander match as that didn't really interest me at the time but I do think the addition of Britt Baker to the Elite is a pretty neat way of showing Adam Cole is the one ruling the roost because Omega's not around. Shows how the power dynamics shifted with the Young Bucks being less of the focus with Cole's buds getting prime real estate in the group.
I really can't get into this Aleister Black stuff. It just seems like he's doing the same thing he was in WWE with the eye stuff and the PAC thing isn't helping. I like the addition of Brody King because I feel like it'll give him some direction, especially with them essentially squashing the Varsity Blonds, but it's just not doing anything for me.
I was really excited to see Lance Archer back but I don't like Lambert's association with him at all. Lambert had his moment and that feud sucked. They don't need him to constantly do his dumb oldhead commentary while aligning with random guys who need a mouthpiece.
Starks and Hobbs are really fun. I wish Hobbs was more of a threat and I get Ricky's situation but I really feel like Team Taz has gotten the short end of the stick by AEW's booking.
I still like Trent.
Men of the Year still suck nothing new.
Andrade getting involved with the HFO is definitely something cool to spice it up but if this is the way to send the group off with a takeover by Andrade then I'm all for it because it has done no favors for anyone involved since it started.
Cody's schtick is so awful. It's so so bad. That promo was full of blatant pandering and metacommentary and it was terrible. I don't much care that Cody was in Ring Of Honor or teamed with the Young Bucks a few years ago because frankly it led to this crapty version of Cody and his own section of AEW programming where he puts on the most awful feuds back to back.
It was a fine show but frankly I don't think anything was must-see going into it outside of Cody's and Moxley's return but considering Cody's promo was literally something I could read on a reddit post it wasn't comparable to Mox's segment.

So who's gonna join House of Black with Julia,Pillman Jr or Griff? I know its just getting started but I'm really into this HoB thing.
Mox's promo was incredible,so glad to see the guy try to move on with his life.
I don't know really what I was expecting with Cody's promo but it was good and got done what it suppose to but just wasn't great imo.
Love Britt with Cole, hopefully the lights out match ends this feud and Cole can move on to do something else until Omega gets back.
Not a fan of Archer,Jake and Lambert trio.
Next week should be awesome.

Sometimes it feels like I just go out of my way to bash Cody, but come on, that promo was all over the place.
Punk squashing Spears was great
Glad Black is getting away from the vacuum that is Pillman Jr. and I love that a feud with PAC seems to be the way they are going
Gargano is helping OC next week, isn’t he?
Happy to see Mox back and well
Get Archer away from Lambert
Get PNP away from Jericho
Always happy to see Lee get tv time
Turn Christian heel
I miss Bryan and Miro

It was good to see Moxley back and seemingly healthy. The Mixed Tag match was solid. But things were done to hype it that kind of brought the match down a little for me. Statlandder and the ref selling her tag after Britt tag Cole in was pointless because once Britt tagged Cole Orange had to come into the match anyway so why was he waiting for a tag when the ref already acknowledged Britt’s tag? It’s little details like that which turns a great match into a good match. The MJF/Wardlow segment as well as Punks match and MJF interaction was gold. I thought Cody’s promo was fantastic. The HoB match was what was expected. The Archer match and Hangman segment did what it needed to do. I will never get tired of seeing Sting wrestle. The man is still going strong especially for a man his age. Adam Cole looks terrible with that milky skin and black/red ring attire. What made it worse was the fact that the back of his body was noticeably paler than the front side.

A few months ago, Jon Moxley looked like Bully Ray.
Last night?? Jon Moxley looked like Dean Ambrose of 2015.
Incredible what not drinking and getting healthy can do for ones body and looks and age.

If Serena Deeb is gonna keep getting reactions like that no one is gonna ever convince me she shouldn't be the next women's champion after Thunder Rosa beats Britt.

That "joke" made even less sense than running a beach-themed show in January in Cleveland.

Moxley & Cody were the highlights for me. Sting was also another great watch in the main event. The crowd seemed good as well!
