Why go elsewhere and get lost in the shuffle and wrestle for a YouTube show constantly when you can appear on Friday night network TV each week?? Makes sense to me why Sami stayed with the WWE. I'm not saying he should've left, but that wouldn't have happened to him. He'd be getting treated more like Adam Cole (IE show up on Dynamite and/or Rampage every week) than Tony Nese. Adam Cole isn't exactly a great example considering he's being booked as Orange Cassidy's equal |

Adam Cole has beaten Cassidy in most of their encounters, but not so thoroughly as to make him a goof which shows Cole's lack of a superego Trips had. |

Cole is fine right now as this is going to lead to a Gargano feud most likely but the guy really should be the one to beat Hangman.

AEW having him trade wins with their version of Santino is way more appropriate than WWE presenting him as the face of a brand. Triple H got worked by Meltzer and presented a skinnyfat midcarder as a top guy, because he did superkicks and finisher kickouts. No wonder NXT failed. Anyway, on the subject of Sami, he did an interview: "It's not the first time I've said it, but I'm really happy with my role with the company in recent years, especially the last year, year and a half," Zayn said. "I'm doing the best job of my career, especially in terms of my character. I don't know why people were really surprised. They have an idea in their heads that everyone in WWE is unhappy being there, unhappy with their role, that they want more or feel oppressed, or I don't know what. For me, I'm really happy with my role and I can't wait to see what I'm going to be able to do in the next few years." |

go get that money i guess. Why do you sound bitter that he signed and didn't go elsewhere. It sounds like you are assuming that he ONLY stayed for the money. Is it impossible to imagine that he might actually be happy or enjoy working for WWE?This is a good point. The discussion around Zayn's signing has been about how he was only financially motivated because WWE is giving out huge paydays to people that will stay or whatever when in reality it's had more to do with the fact that he enjoys working there and thinks he's been doing some of the best work of his career. I think that sort of rhetoric is really harmful in dicussions like these.. |
