The only thing I dislike in a Rumble is when they waste a return for like a 10-second spot. I love The Hurricane and his double chokeslam spot, but having him come in, only try to do that, and then get instantly eliminated, while fun, just feels like it's not using Hurricane well. Have him do that spot, by all means, but don't have him just get tossed out.

2015 easily for me. Seeing the likes of Ambrose, Wyatt, Ziggler etc just dumped out like trash by Big Show and Kane was just borderline insulting to them.

2016 is another modern-rumble that was crap but I don’t see often mentioned. Roman was entered #1 and the WWE Title was on the line, so we knew at the very least he was going to the end of the match, or close to it. However, the WWE pulled the stupid “Roman is taken out by a heel faction, misses the majority of the match, and comes back as the underdog champ” crap. Atleast in 1999 Austin and McMahon were still doing things when not in the rumble. Roman was just gone for the majority of it and we’re then expected to cheer him when he returned. Ridiculous.
What made it worse was the fans were going absolutely nuts for Ambrose in the final two with HHH. This was the WWE’s chance to shake up what was already looking to be a lackluster and predictable mania by putting the belt on Ambrose and running with him. Face or heel, give the fans something they would actually enjoy in a Roman/Ambrose feud culminating at WM…but nah, have HHH eliminate the most over guy in the company at the time, leading to one of the worst WM main events in HHH/Reigns.
The only memorable moment from this rumble is AJ’s debut. Nothing else redeeming from that crap.

Or when they had Boogeyman come in to square off with Bray Wyatt for less than a minute.

If we are just talking about the Royal Rumble match itself, I never cared for the 1994, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2011, 2015 rumbles. I never cared how they were organized and done. Damn 2001 was the best ever for me and 2002 was one the greats. I’m surprised you didn’t care about both of em but it all comes down to personal preference anyways.

Three potential big stars getting thrown out by Kane & Big Show ffs.... one of the worst Rumbles ever. Easily top 5 worst ever.

I like Rumble matches that have many people in it at a time. I found that those two were more so about like having 3 or 4 guys in the ring at one time and doing some spots and them they get eliminated and then four more do that kind of stuff.
The 2002 was the worse. When Chuck Palumbo and Christian were double teaming guys and eliminating them for a while you know it's bad.

The DVD cover showed everything that was wrong with the show and the company for the last 2 years at the time I think the feud could of worked. It forsure didn't. HHH in 2013-2019 still could put on some great matches. Now the WM 31 Sting debacle; but for example that Bryan match at WM XXX was amazing. I think; the story arch that Roman defied everything that has been thrown in his face over the past year; and HHH now stepping up; the man behind it all to put Roman down is a great story. The match was garbage; I think the build up was solid. And I am sure the WWE thought; HHH could get Roman over. Those 20 minute Raw promos sucked. I think; Roman and Ambrose would of been the best option for the fans. But; I think this Mania was doomed with all the injuries. Rollins getting hurt really derailed WWE. I think Rollins could of easily ran to WM 32 as a Heel Champion to lose it all. We could of easily set up Roman's moment that way; or the Shield triple threat that night. Maybe throw some curve with Ambrose winning the title maybe at RR or TLC ; or Roman win the title and walk into Mania with the two other Shield members. But; I think WWE could of got creative; by having HHH win in a screwy way with Ambrose and Reigns both getting screwed. With Ambrose as the 1# contender; and Ambrose against all odds at Fastlane winning the title with Roman Reigns helping Ambrose defy the odds. And swerve us to Roman-Ambrose in some exciting story.

I watched all Rumbles from 88-09(I stopped watching after WM 25) and to me the worst is... 95 being a close 2nd Like most angles in the Attitude Era this was shock value story telling which only propelled Stone Cold's character further in his fight to mainevent WrestleMania XV and win the WWF championship back. I wouldn't have booked Vince to win either but he also did beat Triple H for the WWF championship which did need to happen again imo.

Ahh I understand what you’re saying. 2002 had a lot of star power and a lot of good moments to make up for boring parts. The match really picked up around the last 10 entrants, especially when Austin & HHH came in. Overall it’s one of my favourites ever.

2015 by far is the worst Rumble IMO. I wouldn't even compare another one to as bad as that one. 2011 was pretty bad, 1999 was pretty bad, and I really hated this year's men's match. My favorite Rumbles would probably be 2007, 2008, 2018 and 1992. I also really loved the 2020 Rumble. I agree with all of this but 2011 I think was alright. 99 & this year was bad. Should have been better then the trash that we got lol. 2007, 2008, 1992 are some of the best ever. Literally from start to finish. 2020 was actually really good and one of the best in years. Probably one of the best in the last 10-15 years.
