Did they mention it in the von erich episode of dark side? Maybe I’m imagining that they did.

Yeah, Kerry was gonna do some hardcore jail time I believe. So he opted to shoot himself. Sad story overall.

It's crazy looking back at the Von Erich's with how over they were to see em go downhill so fast like that.

Yeah, Kerry was gonna do some hardcore jail time I believe. So he opted to shoot himself. Sad story overall. That was 1993. I'm referring to the 1983 incident. Do you think if the story got out that they would have turned it into an angle with Michael Hayes planting the drugs on him? |

It was evident that Kerry had a drug problem even back then so by the time he got into the motorcycle accident that cost him to lose his foot it only accelerated his addiction issues. The glory days of WCCW and the Von Erichs in particular were before my time, but I've always been fascinated with both stories. They pretty much made "tragic" a household word when discussing the history of pro wrestling. Good luck watching any Von Erich documentary and not feeling like you need a drink afterwards. |
