Some people have more money than sense. $50+ for a figure that will be the next Blassie/Mae in a matter of weeks.
And they say the US is going through a depression, lol.

Not necessarily true, all prediction. I for one would rather pay a premium to have it shipped to my door vs waiting for it to “maybe” appear in stores near me after wasting several trips to see if it has been stocked on the chance it may be there. Bottom line, it’s the individuals money to do as they want. The same parole saying xyz will be on clearance in time I’ll just get it then, will be the ones that complain if it’s ends up being a hard to find figure and others are selling it for triple or quadruple the retail price down the road. I get 12 miles to the gallon on my car, so I’m more than happy to pay extra and make sure I get it back wasting time and gas to maybe never even find it. |

I seem to be blessed with a good market here in Houston as I’ve casually been able to find all collectors editions in stores while on grocery runs - Monsoon, Sherri, Rocky Johnson, Kama, Warlord, Mustafa, etc. I’m hopeful of finding Strongbow but you’re right that the gamble could easily backfire too. |

Who said it was cancelled? I still haven’t seen confirmation, just a bunch of people whining that it should or shouldn’t be. Where did I say it was? I was replying to you saying “if you’re not Native American you can’t speak on it.” So I spoke to a NA and said what he thought IF it was cancelled . Personally idc if it is or not, he was before my time, so I don’t care to have it. Sorry, must’ve missed where you said “if” it was cancelled. |

If you’re not Native American you can’t say it’s offensive to them. Even if you have a friend or something that is, they don’t speak for all Native American people either. I actually work with a down the line relative of CJS, and he as a Native American think it’s stupid if the figure was canceled because they think it’s offensive and laughed about it. And like he said, it’s the sensitive world we live in today. Can’t wait to see these sensitive kids 20 years from now, this world will be in trouble.
Exactly -- I am ALL for being more tolerant. But there's tolerance and absurdity to the point of becoming weak. No one can be confronted with anything they might not like.
How are those kids going to fare against the kids of the Russian soldiers invading Ukraine?

Maybe they should just rename it to Commander Jay Strongbow Football Team Jay Strongbow. I have been a Redskins fan for 30+ years. Its not been easy. Ive seen the horror for my entire life. And now I’m a Commanders fan??? I’ve been putting some serious thought into defecting to the Jets. That’s how bad it is being a fan of this organization. At least the Jets can keep their identity even if they can’t keep their dignity. You know it’s bad when the name “Football Team” has more support in Washington than Commanders. Had to get one out of respect I definitely don't speak for everyone at all but how you feel about it or how I feel about it doesn't matter, it IS offensive to native American people and thats probably why Mattel pulled the plug on him. who says Native Americans are offended? Iron Eyes Cody was the biggest Native American movie star of his day and he was Italian! Thank you! |

Somehow a culture war broke out because of some unsubstantiated insinuation Mattel pulled a figure.
Proof comes out said figure is in existence, but people pivot to other "examples" of the culture war with no acknowledgement the original assertion was false.
Is there any point one can accept their earned plate of crow?
