Just a thought, what would everyone think if Mattel started doing UE 2 Packs?
Just for Tag Teams only.
That way we could get an LOD, Outlaws, Rockers etc.
Don't know why but it kinda bugs me when they do Tag Teams in normal Elite lines boxed separately.

Multi packs don’t survive long with the higher price point. The latest run of two packs had no retail presence at Walmart or Target, and despite lasting longer than I thought it would is now on hiatus.

The only reason to do this would be a SDCC mega powers 2 pack. Charge $100 and give us all the soft goods needed to make it worth the price

Yeah, it sucks we got Tag Teams as Elites separate when they'd look awesome in a 2 pack. (Hart Foundation, Harlem Heat, LOD, Dudley Boyz, ect) As for UE the prices would be around the $70+ mark. I don't think many collectors would deem that worth the price. Maybe an SDCC exclusive?

I think a 2-pack UE was brought up (as in it was considered but not something theyre going to do) during the ringside fest livestream last year.

There's no reason they couldn't perfectly nail both figures at the existing price point including Macho's robe. I think it's been shown time and time again that the appetite just isn't there for multi-packs at retail. It's better for the retailers and for Mattel to pack them individually. The UE line has been going strong, but I'm sure they don't want to risk burning that goodwill with retailers.

Everyone’s about that life until they see the $65-70 price tag…

Even if it was just double the retail price of an UE (so $65ish plus shipping) I am not even sure RSC would want an UE 2-Pack as an exclusive. Because there’s to much uncertainty as to whether people would buy them or wait until they are marked down on a sale. And let’s face it an exclusive UE 2-Pack would certainly cost more than $65. So I don’t see an UE 2-Pack happening other than as a SDCC exclusive.

I don't see the price tag of $70 being an issue. If they are individually and they get bought they'd still be paying the same amount.

I think the only way they could do this is if RSC decide to do some UE 2 pack exclusives. Or maybe for SDCC or something.
Also need to bare in mind that Mattel has barely any tag teams actually signed right now. Marty isn't, and neither are the Road Warriors. At best we could get the Harts and Outlaws maybe?

They have tried higher price point packs before and they have failed every time. This sadly would be no different. People aren’t willing to consistently pay the higher price in one shot.

You never know. I think a UE 2-pack would most likely be a Mattel Creations or RSC exclusive as I don't see retailers wanting to carry something with that potential price tag.

I think the only way that a UE 2-Pack could live in retail is as a RSE or on Mattel Creations. The minute they go anywhere else and stop moving because of the high price point, the attempt of the line is dead.
But even then, a $70+ set of two figures is asking a lot. They'd really have to knock it out of the park and give us some great characters.
