well one user already said they were given permission to scan an undertaker so i doubt many of them are itching to round up people into the loss prevention office for "stealing" (yet paying full price) for their batista figs
also, were you not sarcastically mocking another member who did thing "the right way" just because he decided to contact mattel & target for more info? sure read that way.

Ok you just don't seem to get it. It's not about what he paid it's about how things were manipulated for gains. Feel free to go into target on your next hunting trip and ask loss prevention (the person in the blue polo and fake badge) if scanning one item and walking out with a similar but different item is ok. Then come back and finish the argument ok buddy I'm not your buddy guy š

Next time you go to a target ask loss prevention the same thing and see what they say and then feel free to message me back. I wasn't mocking anyone just asking if they took his concerns seriously

I wasn't mocking anyone just asking if they took his concerns seriously i didn't claim you were wrong about the rules or the morality of the issue, i just think it's hyperbolic to bring up jail time for this specific example of scanning a different wwe ultimate figure while paying the exact same/full price for your item. sure, anything can happen but still.

Didn't know u can go to jail for paying for your action figures (no matter how it's done) š I understand the part where payment was made that's not my issue. My issue is when things like this happen it causes more issues than what people think. Things are bought early then put on ebay for 10x retail and that causes all the scalpers to come out and do the same thing. Then it causes normal collectors to waste time going to stores thinking something is in stock but they're gone because someone scanned a bunch of kane's and undertaker's and walked out with a Batista. I never once said someone will go to jail I said "people have gone to jail for less" and it's doing what they did isn't worth the risk

Didn't know u can go to jail for paying for your action figures (no matter how it's done) š I just don't want these people to go in to a store and think that they can do this and not get caught up. Target doesn't care of it's a wrestling figure or an electronic if someone is caught scanning something and walking out with something different even if it's a similar item they will stop you. And then it's up to them if they want to press charges or just humiliate the person in front of the entire store. To each their own. Personally I can't wait the 10 days until they're shelf warming or online. Goodnight āļø

Some of you have never worked in retail, and it shows. It does not "mess up the inventory" at all - stock corrections & checking occurs daily in most retail settings, for example:
Someone scans Taker, but takes Batista. Employee scans barcode of both figures, and updates to Taker +1 and Batista -1.
Literally takes a minute if that, and any good retail store does this every day to make things easier for annual stock takes.

There were some cases of people doing this with the Legends series when something new was either street dated or just not in their system (mightāve been the latter). Donāt recall there being a big catastrophe over it. Chalk it up to this Batista being pretty sought after by most, I guess.

We talking about Target lol

What would be the difference if someone had 4 bottles of Pepsi 2 regular and 2 diet (same price) and the person rang the same bottle up 4 times, is someone gonna call the cops? NO, if a nosy person catches you they MIGHT say something but 99 times out of 100 you will be just fine, honestly I really feel some people are a little jealous because some people did it and they didnāt/couldnāt and if thatās not the case I would call these people a goody 2 shoes and they should probably be the president of the United States cause we need more good people like them in this world, I salute you sirs/mams Now the people who are scanning taker and putting Batista in the bag and LEAVING taker is a little different, I wouldnāt do it that way I would just buy the taker and return it, itās simple But really, I have the figure and yes I did it this exact way (sue me) the figure really aināt that great, I actually donāt like it, the hype is not real folks

To be fair, isnt taker/kane 32.99 at target? So if you're scanning taker or kane you're actually paying more for batista.

Guys, dudes found his hill to die on apparently by being a crusader for target inventoryā¦ donāt feed it.
Like another user above me said, they are i retail so inventory adjustments are done ALL THE TIME. Before I finished school, I worked in retail and this was a daily thing that some people would be tasked to do.
Dude is overreacting here. Anyone saying they wouldnāt buy that Batista if it was right infront Of them sitting on the shelf and could just scan an Undertaker is lying. This figure will be plentiful I have no doubt, but donāt act as if the few who are seeing them pop up on shelves are wrong for buying the item.

Can you imagine if someone like theman found Batista on the shelf but they wouldnāt let him buy due to the incorrect street date.? All kidding aside, this is Targetās problem for putting on shelf and their wrong street date. I have no issues with anyone doing what they need to purchase at the correct price. Nowhere even close to stealing imo. Sucks knowing Iām gonna have to pay scalpers but thatās how it goes with all these store exclusives. I wish they could do a preorder like Legends.
