"Rowdy" Roddy Piper's Greatest Hits - My first Coliseum Video. Watched this so many times it's a wonder I didn't wear the tape out completely.
WWF's Explosive TNT Show - TNT was before my time, but I loved this tape. Wrestling can be serious, but I still love when they can have fun too.
Macho Madness - Covers my favorite era of Savage's career.

invasion 92 had a couple great late 1991 new to WWF ric flair matches vs IC champ bret hart & rockers shawn michaels. same night micheals turned on jannetty.
grudges, gripes & grunts had some cool matches: mr perfect vs papa shango, flair vs tatanka, mega maniacs vs beverly bros, flair/michaels vs hart/savage

Not sure if it was a one-off, but I liked this one: WWF Wrestling Superheroes: The matches were: Demolition vs Powers of Pain & Mr. Fuji - from WrestleMania 5 Jimmy Snuka vs Greg Valentine (w/ Ronnie Garvin as Referee) - from SNME 1989 Roddy Piper vs Rick Rude - from their cage match at MSG in late 1989 Hulk Hogan vs Hercules - from SNME 1986 Ultimate Warrior vs Randy Savage - from MSG in 1989 just before WM5 All were good matches with the tag team match being the weakest. Piper/Rude was definitely the best. But the other three were good. Jesse on commentary, for 3 of the matches was great - especially during the Hammer/Snuka match and the Hogan/Hercules match. If I am not mistaken, this was the first non-PPV VHS I ever saw of wrestling.

This was my favourite: Possibly because it was the first wrestling tape I ever had. I remember liking the Crash vs Berzerker match it featured.

Not sure if this one counts, but I had this as a kid and watched it over and over.

Not sure if this one counts, but I had this as a kid and watched it over and over. Ha! They spelled Ric's name wrong. I remember hearing about this at the time, the British Bulldog, Heenan and Monsoon, mentioned it a lot during the 1992 Rumble, but I never found this a blockbuster. I don't think I've seen this all the way through. I did see the Battle Royal later on YouTube.

Last time I seen it I was only 11 before the VHS days died out in my house. Would love to see if it's still as good as kid me thought it was.

That Royal Albert Hall show was just as or better than most PPVs. The entrance way looked awesome too. It made it look cooler than other PPV sets up too. It's crazy how people in the 1980s or early 90s would still spell Ric's name like the more common version.
My video store mostly had PPVs and very few of the variety tapes. I don't remember much of what Block Buster had since they didn't get much after 1994. The local videos that weren't my regular spot seemed to have a different selection. Anything like Best of or Supertape etc...I would have to find at flea markets. Basically I grew up simply with PPVs. Survivor Series 1989 and Wrestlemania VI were the ones I liked the most.

Basically I grew up simply with PPVs. Same here, with video rental stores (at least my local ones) no longer stocking wrestling videos at all from the mid-90s. That really annoyed me at the time.

The only thing I remember from the Piper VHS was the hilarious segment where he interviewed himself.
