Does anyone understand why the parts that are used are the ones they go with? A huge majority of collectors would've been so much happier with that E91 Hogan if it had a better torso choice. Is there an economic reason why they demand its the wrong torso? Does the design team *really* think that this torso is a good representation of Hogan's body in that era? Don't they own the molds to the other torsos? What's stopping them from using one that actually looks like Hogan?! Who is approving these choices? I'd love to hear someone give me a PR answer on it and see how they defend making so many figures totally incorrectly.

It's been rumored that Hogan approves his appearance for most things - video games, figures, etc. I'm not sure if it's actually true or not, but I do know I've heard the term "licensor approval" used by Steve on these boards when discussing the WMVI Ultimate Edition Ultimate Warrior. That would mean Warrior's estate approves the final product before rolling into production; could be the same situation for Hogan. Maybe Hogan thinks he's that lean and ripped, brother.

Hogan was much leaner in WCW so the DM/Survivor Series Hogan torso would be wrong. Maybe I would have used the Bulldog/Austin torso.

You know the Office meme with Pam saying "they're the same picture"? Need someone to photoshop Sweaty Bill's face on there and have them showing him a pic of Cesaro and Hogan.

We should honestly boycott buying this Hogan unless they are able to change the torso. Iβm not buying it unless they decide to, and it sucks because itβs another dream Hogan figure. I love RSC and Mattelβs WWE Line but this is beyond ridiculous. I could see a one time mistake, but this has gotten crazy and any 1990-2006 Hogan Elite we get will be ruined unless they change this

I hate the torso but at least that can be hidden by the shirt. Itβs the crappy knee pads that irk me the most. They literally make no sense and I wonder if itβs blank under the pads or if the pattern continues?.

Hogan was much leaner in WCW so the DM/Survivor Series Hogan torso would be wrong. Maybe I would have used the Bulldog/Austin torso. Hogan was leaner from 1993 - 1997. Iβm fine with the Sheamus-torso for that time period, but Hulk put back on some major mass from 1998 to the end of his WCW run.

I was just looking at pictures of Hogan and if Mattel wants to use a smaller torso for anything preβ97 early WCW they should just make a brand new torso. I personally think the Sheamus torso is kind of ugly in general. The real issue being is that it just doesnβt suit guys like Flair or Hogan. Even leaner Hogan doesnβt look right with the Sheamus torso. He still had some flab. The Sheamus torso also doesnβt sit right with the pair of legs they chose either. I would rather they give us a new torso. Hogan is an investment and not a one off like some other figures weβve gotten exclusive molds to. Thank you for coming to my TED talk π₯³

WWE is the licensor, not individual wrestlers. In some cases yes, but not in Hoganβs case. I work with licensed product, itβs different for every IP. Hogan owns his own likeness and at least the Hollywood Hogan name, which makes WWE the licensee, not the licensor. Itβs a fact that the WWE worked something out with Marvel Comics to allow the βHulkβ named to be used way back in the 80s. Iβm just saying licensing gets messy and itβs a guarantee that Hogan has say in what gets released. Itβs all conjecture, but it might not be Billβs fault. Iβd imagine it probably isnβt.

Itβs because Bill doesnβt care. If that torso is chosen, at least use the Sheamus trunks so the torso and lower half are even. Elite 91 hogan and elite 93 Cesaro look so ridiculous.
