Last K-Mart in the Chicagoland area closed years ago. Not really sure how they managed to stay open the last 10 years as the stores were always pretty filthy, never had anything new, and maybe had like 2 employees working the whole store at a time.

Haha long live Kmart! Only place I found retro series 6 and the retro ring! I think that was around fall 2018. Yeah I think there is only 4 left...crazy. the closest one to me closed shop in early 2020. Icons of the past like blockbuster, kb toys, and countless others. Is that the series with Nakamura? Cause that's the last set I saw at my Kmarts before they closed down. Crazy that Kmart was the only retail store to find that set & the retro ring. Anybody remember Woolworths, Newberrys, Montgomery ward? |

The last time I was ever in a K-Mart they had a full set of the original, wave 1 Star Wars black series (when they were first released).

I think they switched from K-Mart to Caldor or Jamesway. I can’t remember which.
Edit: double checked, it’s Hills.
Seriously though, are there even any left? The last K Mart I will ever be in was about 6 months ago in Tahoe. They had Retro Wyatt and Bryan and not much else, as they were closing forever. Even before that I don’t think I found anything worth buying figurewise in at least 5 years, and I’m not even joking. I am pretty sure it was a DM Hogan that was sitting in the back forever that someone finally brought out. Beyond that all they had was the T shirt series with Ryback and maybe a couple of other $#itty basics. No other elites.

TRU, K-Mart, Caldor, Bradlees, Sears, BEST, KB Toys, Joe Ordinis So sad to think about that all the stores I bought my toys as a kid are now closed. JCPennys may be the only store left (who knows for how long)

I remember Woolworths and wards but not Newberry. I remember Electric Ave in wards and playing PS1, Sega Saturn and I think either CDi or 3DO. Those were they days haha |
