There is? I thought he only had the two Legends 6 figures? Yeah he’s in the middle of the pic in Mr Hoss’s pic. Isn't that a custom? What wave was he in? |

Yeah looking at mine it turns out I had made the same custom as Mr Hoss. It was a Basic series WM Warrior. I know now it was originally a Warrior because mine still has the Warrior logo on back. I don’t remember making it but I guess I did because I saw the custom Warrior on the WCCW Kerry next to it. lol |

I'm sure there were rumours - or a listing - in the last year or two that had a Texas Tornado figure in it... sadly, nothing came of it though.

I know now it was originally a Warrior because mine still has the Warrior logo on back. I don’t remember making it but I guess I did because I saw the custom Warrior on the WCCW Kerry next to it. lol Lol, I was trying to remember if that was a custom. I was about to search my boxes for it. Btw, if anyone is wondering. I paid full price for two each of Texas Tornado and KVE, but all the rest were Big Lots finds. They had a lot of that wave at $9 iirc. Kerry made great custom material. If I kept all them mint, I would be retired and living on a small south Pacific Island. |

I think it's been around 4 years now, but there was a Kevin/Kerry HOF 2-pack listed on sell sheets. That would have been the second wave after the Wild Samoans and Warrior/Shango wave, but the line was cancelled. Kerry showed up in lineups for a HOC wave shortly after, and what was said to be a leaked factory sample circulated in his SummerSlam gear when he won the IC belt. It looked legit (not a custom) and was from an account that had showed quite a few samples. At this point it's anyone's guess if he's still under a deal. He had some Topps cards a couple of years ago, so was most likely still available after the HOC line got canned. It's total speculation, but I'm wondering if someone higher up at Mattel pulled the plug because of how he died. At one point I remember Bill saying Brian Christopher and Crash Holly were unlikely because they died by suicide. |

I have one each MOC and the Tornado fig is one of my favorites in my collection. He's my most wanted person in the legends line right now,every time figures are revealed I get a little disappointed all over that he didn't get a new fig.

eBay and good luck friend. You are going to need to be persistent in checking and be ready to pounce. Doubtful you are going to find it under a hundo.
But, there are bargains yo be found. This past winter I scored a loose Akeem for under $125 and MOC Road Warriors for under $150. You just need to be vigilant and check mis-spellings.
I am after this one as well, but I am at a pause on buying for the moment, so no competition from me! Haha

Best bet is a toy show other than ebay. That way you can at least haggle. It’s really the best way to get older figures that you missed out on. Can’t say I see him all the time, but I did see a MOC Kerry version for $250.00 in February.
The Von Erich figures always remind me how awesome Kmart was back in the day for the Legends figures.

I know your closing statement was made in jest, but there is one Kerry Von Erich currently listed on eBay for around $400 and it still has the "$8.99" clearance sticker on the bubble. If someone had the foresight to really invest in these early Legends lines, you wouldn't be too far off from your claim. |

A MOC Kerry sold on UK ebay for £160 a few weeks ago. There's one now for £250.
Also a couple of loose Kerry and Texas Tornado between £110 and £250.

Sorry I didn’t really quote the right one, I was saying it’s a travesty he has so few figures I know his wwe run was relatively short but he caught the end of golden era, ic title run in a time titles didn’t change all that often snd had a great colourful look woth the tassels snd physique |

Under $100 probably won't happen. Loose you're looking at $200+ and MOC you're looking at over $400. Those are super rare figures and there's not many of them around. Good luck I hope you find them because they are awesome figures Damn. I got a Texas Tornado for $6 at Half Price Books back after they came out. I only bought it for fodder. Never did anything with it, but wish I’d left it on the card. |
