Kevin Nash was a an a$$hole when I met him, Beefcake too What did they do? Nash can be quiet but there are some good stories outside of signings like him tweeting he was at an Applebee's and a fan rushed to the place just to meet him and he was nice. And he met a fan somewhere and wound up getting him tickets to a Wrestlemania. And one guy who drove him to the airport said he paid for gas when the man had gone in to pay it himself. But most times I have seen him pretty quiet and reserved. Beefcake, maybe 10-15 years ago I think wasn't the greatest from what I read. I didn't expect him to be too nice but he was cool when I met him in 2016, for free. The worst part about the show was that he and Valentine, among a few other legends weren't going to be paid by cash that night but checks which is risky and he he was still in good spirits. I think age has made him a little friendlier. Though there is a story of him being difficult to deal with, along with his wife, for a Canadian promoter.

Sometime in the Summer of 2017 -- Before Donovan Dijak was signed, I asked him to sign a poster of the indy event he was wrestling on. He rolled his eyes, signed "DD" instead of his autograph, and just went right back to looking at his phone and slipped his headphones back over his ears. He was sitting in the meet and greet area of the show but acted like I was out of line for approaching him. I planned on paying for his autograph, too, but he was so quick to ignore me that I didn't get a chance to. He seemed totally digusted with me.
But he ended up getting the T-Bar gimmick, so we're even.
I also met Rhyno at WrestleMania Axxess in 2018 and he wasn't very friendly. He really gave a vibe like he wanted to be doing anything else.

It's the same thing with retail workers bringing their bad moods to work or vice versa with customers. No one knows what people are going through fair enough but if you take that out on someone being nice you're an A-hole. Especially if you don't know the person. As friends or family can patch things up after the fact etc. That's why for wrestlers, just sign everything, take all the pictures. It takes seconds if its one or a few minutes if more people. Okay you may get mobbed certain times. If you have to make a flight, explain it nicely, fans will understand. But if not just give the people what they want. It's wrestling after all, a crowd pleasing industry.

Biggest A-hole I ever met was Mick Foley which I certainly wouldn't have expected. It was at his disastrous Dublin gig in 2012. The meet and greet was horrible and the show was even worse.
Nicest - Roddy Piper and believe it or not - JBL.

… Why do I feel like I’m missing something with this Matt Bloom thing?

Nicest - Roddy Piper and believe it or not - JBL. I've heard about that gig. It sounded like an absolute nightmare. Foley was not long into touring by that point, probably never had to deal with hecklers to that level. How bad the gig went then probably played into how down he was after it unless the greet was before. Then in that case he may have brought a bad mood into what turned out to be a very bad show.

I saw Matt Bloom at a grocery store in Philadelphia once. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly. He refused to a work a charity show to benefit victims of a tsunami in Japan in around 2004/2005. He wasn't gonna do the show unless he was getting paid.

I wouldn't really say it was that negative of an interaction but me and friend went to see Brock Lesnar practice for the Vikings. Afterwards there was a small area you could line up to get autographs, and of course me and my friend and like one other person showed up with wrestling stuff to get signed. I had an 8x10 I wanted signed. When Brock came over he signed all the Vikings stuff first, intentionally ignoring/passing our stuff over. Eventually it was just the three of us that had WWE stuff and he kind of reluctantly signed it. I still like Brock, I don't know if he is wrestling now but I liked him back then and I liked him in UFC. I know he eventually went back to the WWE after UFC. I like him. I still have the picture he signed.

Nicest - Roddy Piper and believe it or not - JBL. Really what happened? He was ignorant as hell during the meet and greet. Then there was a 2 hour break between that and the show and he ended up getting heckled by drunks and completely lost control of the situation. Screw the drunken hecklers - they ruined the show - but even with just the meet and greet part of the night, we all thought he was ignorant as hell.

We paid nash almost 6000$ to come in for an event earlier this year and the guy was a complete and utter dickhead the entire time. HE acted like he didnt want to be there and bitched at every single thing. I will never have him back . HE bitched about the hotel, he bitched about the car ride, he bitched about the order of things being signed at the event, he bitched about what time he was leaving, he bitched that the same guy wasnt driving him back to the hotel. a complete piece of work and over the top crybaby. Ive worked with dozens of guys and he was the absolute worst. Attachment DeletedWe had sabu this past month and he was cool as hell, ate pizza with us and watched the show after he was done signing. He was nice to all the kids and very courteous to anyone who stopped by whether they paid or not. He was quiet but a pleasure to work with.

I think the early 2000s were a bad time for Foley. Stories of him being not so friendly at shows were pretty normal back then. Something's changed and he's the friendly version we all knew/know and those stories dominate posts so the negatives seem unreal. Not sure if I posted it but there was a 50 page thread called "Foley is Crud" online dedicated to people having bad experiences with him during that time period.

Ill tell you a real random story with Randy Orton. WWE were in Belfast for a UK tour and they got stranded in Belfast because of the volcanic ash that was drifting in from Finland or somewhere and all the flights can grounded, anyway they were staying at the Hilton hotel beside the city centre and im walking about shopping and went past the Celtic Football Club store and someone shouts, "Randy!" I say to myself, Randy? thats not a name someone from Belfast is called lol, turn round and it was Orton lol. Got a photo with him and he was hanging out with MVP as well. Ill never forget that day!

AJ Styles completely ignored me and wouldn't even speak to you unless you bought some of his merch.

My worst experiences were with Mean Gene and Mick Foley. Mean Gene was rude, nasty, and uninterested. I’ve had disappointing experiences with Foley on multiple occasions. It would surprise me every time because he has a reputation for being a nice guy, but it wasn’t just one bad day. Regardless, I am still a fan of their work and I can still give credit where credit is due. Well they don't call him Mean Gene for nothing

Can’t say it was a “bad” interaction, but I met Mick Foley back in 2004 at a book signing. He wasn’t mean or anything, just quieter than what I’ve heard from others. Basically waited in line an hour, got up to meet him, asked how he was doing, and instead of talking to me he was chatting with a handler next to him. Didn’t even look at the camera what we took our picture.
Still a huge fan and would love to meet him again to see if it’s a different experience.

I have only met Kane and M$M. Both were paid meet & greet
Kane didn’t seem like he was in the best mood but he was nice. Glad to have met him and get a couple figures signed
Ted was nice. He signed both the recent legends with the accommodating color. He laughed about the legends chase not being accurate
