It's definitely a nice stage but I don't think they will make it that big if they were to make it available to us. I mean they never made the other one from a few years ago that alot of people wanted. Me personally I would like the next crowd funding project to be wcw nitro stage.

Man I don’t know. Space is becoming a real issue when it comes to this hobby and I’m running out of it for sure. Figures I can do, but big play sets and rings I’m definitely going to be selective about. That being said, I got rid of a lot of play sets and rings not too long ago to make space for the New Gen playset. But man, if this come to fruition for the next crowdfunding project, I might have to get it.

I’d buy it for sure. I don’t think it needs to cost the earth either. There no piece that shouldn’t be able to be mass produced like a bigger version of a kids toy for my money.

I would love to have it and get this but I honestly just don’t know where I would be able to put it and display it. It looks like such a large piece

I think if they made it that scale, it would easily be $400-500 -- and I don't think people will pay that

I think if they made it that scale, it would easily be $400-500 -- and I don't think people will pay that I feel like we underestimate what people will pay. I wouldn't pay that unless it had some First Time in the Line figures and they would have to be people like Al Snow, Steve Blackman, Patriot, Salvatore Sincere, Marc Mero, Hardcore Holly, etc. but for other people, that might be that interesting. With all the new crowdfunding programs that actually went through and they're in the hundreds, I could definitely see it happening and getting funded. People thought the same thing about Snake Mountain which is ridiculous in size and pretty expensive.

I think that the stages shouldn’t be scale accurate. That’s kind of ridiculous. A scale ring makes perfect sense. Personally, I think the scale rings should be 20in x 20in because the real thing is 20ft x 20ft and these are 6in figures. So 6ft should roughly scale down to 6in and not reliant on 1:12 or 1:13 scaling, which I suspect is how we ended up with the 20in x 20in Main Event rings that were too short. But stages shouldn’t be scale accurate.
The New Gen entrance being accurate makes sense, because it’s a narrow piece. There should be a middle ground for collectors between 100% accurate stages and and the first 2 entrances stages Mattel put out. Mattel’s Raw Entrance Stage was a fantastic piece. Taking something that size and extending it a few inches in each dimension so you could fit more figures on it would be perfect. And limiting the “action” features would keep the price down. I think taking that Raw is War stage and shrinking certain parts down by 25% or 50% would still make for a killer piece that more people could justify owning. I love my Raw Entrance Stage and Ultimate Entrance Stage, but they’re a little small.

Yeah or even make it so the ramp is several pieces so you can adjust how long it is based on space and maybe have risers so that the entrance stage height is adjustable. There was a SHIELD Helicarrier that came out a few years ago where you could use a third included piece like a table leaf to make it longer if you wanted to make a supercarrier or leave it out to make a smaller more space friendly design. The scaffolding can probably stay as is as it actually isn't that big, it just looks big because of the black cloth backdrop and I doubt we're getting that. It's probably just a bit bigger (taller) than the New Gen entrance piece and that lighting rig, I don't know if that would even be a part of it. At the very least, it's just pinned to the cloth backdrop anyway so it's clearly optional.

At the very least, it's just pinned to the cloth backdrop anyway so it's clearly optional. That’s a good idea to make it adjustable. Kind of like the ring barricades that Mattel and RSC made. I bought a bunch of those to make them surround a bigger area. Mattel could make the scaffolding into shorter segments that snap together to adjust their height so you can adjust it to fit in the space a collector has available. Kind of like K’Nex. It would also allow Mattel to reduce the number molds they have to pay to be created. And maybe the scaffolding is also the base for the stage so the stage can be lowered. And the ramp could be stackable pieces or sectioned in a way that allows for adjustments to be made. And the stage grates could be broken up into pieces that allow them to be adjusted, too. Kind of like a Lego-style, build-your-own entrance sort of thing. This is probably the only entrance stage you could do that with, but I’m sure Mattel could reuse the molds for something else in the future.

Its cool but it would be a no for me,just no room for the size of this stage. I didn't think I would want one of the New Gen set either and I ended up with three so if they made one or two figures I really wanted,it might change my mind.

Mostly because I wanted a perfectly painted doink and didn’t trust the mattel wwe qc lol And would also buy this raw stage for the figures. But I’d prefer if it were scaled down even if I decided not to keep it.

I wonder if they would sell that next. It wouldn't go with the ring that they're releasing to us.

I have nowhere to put it.
It's lovely, but short of it coming with an ultimate edition Shane with Pete and Rodney as stretch goals, not a chance.

Get it for the figures and sell off the stage, same as I plan to do with the new generation arena

Is there really a thread asking a question on if we'd spend $800 on this?
It looks great but the price point is intimidating. $300+ for this easily and I just do not want to fork over that kind of $$$. Let alone, whatever figures they'd include with it. But I'd say $350 is absolutely the top of what I'd pay.

It's a very fine line these companies have to straddle with these crowdfunding projects. Even something like Star Wars with a very dedicated fan base has had a failure recently with their Rancor crowdfund. It was expensive and didn't have very enticing stretch goals. Even the New Gen arena with something enticing like Doink didn't take off until the Randy Savage figure was added.

To answer the price question I think for the exact one they had at display at Axxess I’d easily pay between $300 and $400 and max $600. I’m sure they’d offer us a few ultimate editions as well which would be awesome but it would just be icing on the cake lol. Thinking about the lighting and smoke extra effects they will surely add as well easily would pay $600. Also this would be a great step forward in getting more entrance stages that we’ve been suggesting like:WCW Nitro, Smackdown, exc.

I think you guys are extremely overvaluing how much this stage, even as presented, would cost. I think it’s extremely impressive and I’d love to buy it, but a lot of it is repeated parts (which is good and appropriate) and would help alleviate tooling costs. A lot of what gives it size and scale is cloth.
If this becomes the next Mattel Creations project, it shouldn’t be any more than the New Gen arena and would also need at least 3 worthwhile figures.
