Was just in my local big lots and they are loaded with ultimates and basics as well as a stack of heman themed rings
Front display had a row of rock and cena ultimates $32 and a tray of basics for $10. Main aisle had 2 more rows of ultimates and a pile of various basics old and new.
I havent seen any recent big lots posts so figured id share even though the prices arenโt good at all.

Thanks for sharing. But thatโs ridiculous that a discount store is selling older product for a price higher than Targets newer product, I.e. ultimates, which are still 29.99 where I am at least.

I still have no idea why Big Lots thinks they can sell old figures are retail or higher.

I still have no idea why Big Lots thinks they can sell old figures are retail or higher. Because people will buy then.

They really arent a discount store anymore. Most have remodeled and transitioned to a sleeker retail look. A mix of a target/kmart/tjmaxx feel. I like to think of them as a modern day kmart store now.

I still have no idea why Big Lots thinks they can sell old figures are retail or higher. Thatโs what the secondary market does. Elite 71 Big Show was on sale on Ringside, available for the longest at WalMart for $15 but now that itโs no longer available, people feel like they can sell it for way more. And they do. Big Lots realized theyโre a secondary market for those type of things and capitalized.

I used to just go to Big Lots for good deals on essentials and home goods. It seems their entire store is void of "bargain pricing" anymore. Everything is cheaper quality and more expensive. They seem to be going with lesser-known brands and private label items.
I have no idea what they're thinking -- do they think they're going to survive and thrive alongside Walmart/Target/Amazon? I would never spend retail price on the second or third-hand figures they get from overstock inventory. I'm so confused by their new business model.

Ollies and Five Below became the new Big Lots, so Big Lots became the new K-Mart.

Big lots used to have a good selection of $3 DVD's. Not anymore they don't. They have the same exact Direct to dumpster DVD's that Dollar Tree has for like $3ish but Dollar Tree want's $1.25.

Seems more like they just started carrying UEโs and picked up the available stock. All Ultimates have gone up in secondary market โvalueโ over time. Will this Cena and Rock? Who knows. Theyโre both great figures and for someone whoโs just getting started if they want these older figures then Big Lots can be an affordable avenue.

Man, I remember finding Legends there for 10 bucks a pop. I must have purchased 10 British Bulldogs because they were so cheap and my local Big Lots probably had 50 of them. I actually found Rock and Austin Unmatched Fury figures covered in dust for 5$ each about three years ago. They def got lost under a shelf for a good while.

I remember clearing out Five Belowโs stock Wlites including Brian Pullman, Nasty Boys, Macho, Terminator Triple H, Debut Goldust, as well as tons of Retros all for $5 a piece.
Weโll probably never see that again.

I got a good amount of figures from Big Lots when I was in the early stages of collecting. The best gets mightโve been a few of the Lost Legends.
