Any guesses on when they will announce Wave 2? Am hoping for a David Von Erich to match Kerry (then Kevin in Wave 3). If wave 2 has figures matching up with Wave 1, it may help people on the fence decide on Wave 1. That would be smart way to build off wave 1. David would be great to go with Kerry. Would love a Nikita to go with Magnum.

There's the potential too for them doing deals, both ways, with these names and others.

It looks like 3 of them are now on preorder 2?

They need to sell these belts separately as well. I'd be grabbing a few extras for Lawler, Rick Rude, etc

Time for me to overanalyze for wave 2.
Back on April 3rd's update from Rosenthal, he said that Series 2 is focused on Tag Teams. But that could have changed a bit, since Brody was moved to Wave 1, and Wave 1 originally had a tag team of Hanson & Dibiase. So let's take a look at Wave 1 to see if they could be starting a pattern,
Lou Thesz - Mainly active in 40's and 50's
Verne Gagne - Mainly active in 50's and 60's, at least as he appeared in this figure form. He still wrestled in the 70's, and slightly in the 80's but by then he was balding and would appear differently than the figure. So this figure is based on 50's and 60's.
Stan Hansen - Figure from tag team with Ted DiBiase from the 80's.
Ted DiBiase - Figure from tag team with Stan Hansen from the 80's.
Kerry Von Erich - Figure from the 80's.
Magnum TA - Figure from the 80's
Bruiser Brody - MOVED from Wave 2 to Wave 1 as a replacement for Ted DiBiase - Figure from the 80's.
So Wave 1 originally had 1 figure from the 40s/50s, one from 50s/60s, and 4 figures from the 80s. Originally two of these were a tag team, but now no longer.
If Wave 2 is supposed to focus on tag teams, I am wondering if they were going to follow the same formula, with one full-on tag team in the set, but several of the other singles could make tag teams with wave 1 figures. That could easily be done by adding a Von Erich to the wave, to tag with Kerry, along with another tag team. So this is my guess, based on the known names signed to PowerTown.
40s/50s - Gorgeous George - This one was already announced by Rosenthal on August 17.
60s/70s - Nick Bockwinkel - Probably one of the bigger names to have never been done in figure form (that I am aware of) and fits with Verne Gagne.
80s - Ivan Koloff - This one tags with Nikita Koloff
80s - Nikita Koloff - This one tags with Ivan Koloff
80s - David Von Erich - Never been done in figure form, can match and tag with Kerry Von Erich
80s - Tony Atlas - Complete guess here. He fits, hasn't been done since the Jakk's Classic days as a figure, and would fit in with the WWE line as need be, to potentially tag with Mattel's Rocky Johnson figure from Elite 80
If this was accurate, I would be in for all 6 of these, no question. The only one I wouldn't really care as much about is Gorgeous George, but the rest I would get, and it would make most sense to get all 6 in the bundle. Unless plans change, Gorgeous George is in, and I am confident that if it is not David, it would be Kevin Von Erich, as I am expecting a Von Erich in the first 3 waves. David makes more sense to me as he has not been done in figure form before.

I paid the extra for the Canada Post shipping so I can roll the dice. Usually, UPS is cheaper to start but then they kick you in the nuts later when they hold your package hostage until you pay up whatever brokerage fees they want to charge you on top of the duties. The UPS showed up as twice the price as USPS when I went to check out, except I only had 3 in my cart. That's so weird. USPS shipping was slightly more than the cheapest UPS option and then less than the more expensive UPS option which was like 1 Day shipping or some crazy thing.

60s/70s - Nick Bockwinkel - Probably one of the bigger names to have never been done in figure form (that I am aware of) and fits with Verne Gagne. Bockwinkel's only previous figure was Remco AWA.

Lately this threads been a good example of how if a company puts out a good product people want that looks good then they will engage.
There’s been some questions asked about moving into other areas, some of the calibre of the talent dubbed but it’s all been very good natured and it’s really positive to see
After initially being joked about I think power town have so far (proof will be when figs are in hand) seemingly done a good job, these really do look like prized collectors items from the packaging to the figure itself. The fact there’s guys from big established brands behind the project seemingly has come through in the product.

So in this age of preorder sell outs, should we worry that none of these have sold out yet?

So in this age of preorder sell outs, should we worry that none of these have sold out yet? I don't think they.put a limit. Might be a make to order set. They are only being sold at like 1 retailer. Unlike Mattel which has rsc big bad ee wrestling shop ect.

I get the impression they’ll have the series available for sale after they are released as well.

I'm guessing you can't order these per figure? Is it just the full set?

I'm guessing you can't order these per figure? Is it just the full set? You can order each figure individually. There are also two three-figure bundles. Hansen, Brody, & Verne in one bundle. Magnum, Kerry, & Thesz in the other bundle.
