I watched a warlord shoot video and they were talking about figures of his, he mentioned the upcoming epic figures of him and Barbarian, and he also said that he’s going to get figures from Greg Gagne’s USA company. Gagne is apart of the power town, correct? If so, I guess that means that the powers of pain are getting figures in this line.

Yes, Gagne is PowerTown so the prospect of getting Powers of Pain in this line is promising. I also found it very interesting that Warlord said he made around $13,000 in royalties from his LJN figure and around $8,000 from the last Mattel figure. He mentioned royalty rates were a lot smaller now than they used to be. Hoping we get some PowerTown announcements for Black Friday so they can recapture some momentum!

Yeah, that is surprising that he only got $8,000 for his Mattel figure, that seems very low. No wonder Scott Steiner said the contract weren't worth it... Also, kind of surprising that his LJN netted him such a low return. I've heard that some of the LJN figures produced 6-figure royalties for some wrestlers. But then again, in the video I believe they mentioned that Warlord's wave was the last wave, and it was only available in Canada. So that might have something to do with it.

It's also very possible that he's getting a much different rate as an active talent vs a legends deal. Legends deals (at least as of a few years ago) paid a percentage of WWE's cut of merchandising sales. I think it was 25% on figures. I think my envelope math had the payout for talent at something like $.50 a figure. IIRC, his last figure was a Walmart exclusive, so something like 16,000 units seems about right.

If they do make warlord i hope they do a different color face paint instead of the black and blue that has been done to death. I'd love to see red and black from when he was on the million dollar team at survivor series

I hope if we do get both Warlord and Barbarian that they include heads for both POP and non-POP looks. I mainly remember Barbarian from his WCW run in 96-98 (I was a WCW guy and not WWF guy at that time) but having both heads would be excellent.

It’s very frustrating to not have a lineup for Series 2 yet. At this pace, we won’t get those until 2025. It will be about a century when we get half of the 100+ people Powertown signed to a contract. I really love this line and it’s potential, I hope it’s not dying a low death. Hopefully the figures get scaled down a bit to fully go with WWE/AEW figures.

Hopefully they're just figuring the best release strategy for their ever growing roster....

Hopefully the figures get scaled down a bit to fully go with WWE/AEW figures. I just don't get it at all. The company did a decent job between the announcement and delivery of the first wave - especially with the crisis of having to pull back and redo the first figures. But it seems since the first wave hit, they have gotten very very quiet. They weren't communicating every week, but it did seem that every month or so, an interview, podcast, or social media posting would be informative about something. I was a bit worried that maybe these were a failure in their eyes, but when the remainder of the figures have now sold out, there really doesn't seem to be anything obvious that is holding up anything. They have the first wave of Remos coming, and I would think they would be talking about those as much as they did the first wave of Ultras. At this point just making a post that these are still coming and some sort of acknowledgement that they need to announce something would be a big help. I just don't get it.

So Series 1 is back on The Wrestling Connection. It’s obvious now they ordered way too many of these figures.

Man Black Friday comes and goes and not a peep other than a third party seller dumping more S1 inventory plus some coins. Not a great sign that they have nothing to share- remco mock ups, S2 lineup, a date for an announcement, nothing.
I keep hoping the silence means something is on the horizon but it sure feels like this company may have hit a dead end...

Yeah, I'm probably done with this line, even if it continues.

I am still holding out hope, but if we do not hear anything by the end of the year, it is going to be VERY tough to remain optimistic.

Yeah, I'm probably done with this line, even if it continues. I'm not trying to be mean, I seriously would like to understand this view. I have a display, my display of 70s and older wrestlers is near empty. It's still going to be empty if I had your view. Help me understand

Help me understand These things are so out of scale with everything else I own and I have no interest in waiting years to have a shelf full of this line. And I don't have an emotional attachment to any of these guys at all, I just bought them because they looked cool.
