How do you guys feel about the chase/rare figures? They have certainly created a buzz for the line...
Overall distribution has been rough. Series 3 is popping up in stores again- a year or so after being first available. There is little to no consistency on the sets and retail stocking. Gamestop has been receiving full cases of chases lately, another major issue with distribution... I'd say so far this line has been awesome, no doubt... but trying to collect has been tough unless you order from Ringside (which I do).
Chime away. Anyone miss the days of TRU/KB with Jakks and sets being available in order? Haha. Simpler times!!

I don't think the chase figures have been a very positive thing for the line. Mattel's approach to chases has been much more equitable -- most WWE Elite chases are around $15 or so more than the regular figure, which is a reasonable price point. Seeing favorite ring gear as the chase in a wave is such a drag (although the chase Riho having the better head sculpt was even worse somehow).

It’s thrilling to find a chase in the wild but I would rather have both attires in separate waves and readily available

The idea sucks and I say that as someone who has found them and also bought them on eBay. It absolutely sucks for everyone except the Pokémon NFT dude in charge and the people that sell them for $$$. It limits everyone from getting cool attires. Kids that want eye patch Moxley or champ Darby are never going to get them.
It got them the buzz that they wanted at the start, continuing to do them now in such limited numbers (I don’t care that they upped them, it still sucks) is just annoying

I dig the idea, I like the idea. Only being found in the States in store though is disappointing for us UK collectors, or else I'd be on the hunt more. They learned pretty quickly though from the first few series about the number they were limited to. I like the RSC and now AEW Shop Exclusives, and I think going forward they would be the ones I'd be more inclined to want. A regular chase I'm not going to daft about, just because they're every series so it's completely lost the appeal to me. Jeremy has proven in the Jakks days that he LOVES a Limited figure, so this is hardly a surprise he's brought it to the AEW line too.

I like the idea of having chase figures, and I really like that they expanded the number of chases they are making from the original 500/1000. With that being said, I did manage to find a 1 of 500 Darby at Walmart this past weekend because for some reason series 3 is back on the shelves.

GameStop is receiving chases like that because they have a different SKU number than the regular figure and they had to find a way to expell the stock of chases they recieved.

This maybe a solo situation however
Series 6 Jericho 1/5000 has suddenly blown up numbers wise on well known bidding sites, from 2 or 3 listings a month ago, there must be 30 currently
Do the chases get held back? Or is this just a random dump
Just a really random thing to see go a bit crazy
The attires currently don't really warrant such limited runs IMO either, series 8 Jericho 1/3000 is a poor figure, the Shop AEW Jericho is a poor figure, the series 6 Jericho 1/5000 was cool when first shown but the Amazon gear pack made it much less special

I give it a F for Feces. This line has been a scalper's wet dream and its obvious Jazwares cares more about their UFC line.

As someone who hunts a lot but refuses to bother employees. I have seen zero… it’s a huge bummer honestly esp for some of the better attires. The new thunder Rosa is gonna haunt me

It’s been hard enough getting the normal figures in stores. It’s getting better, though, hopefully peg warmers don’t do too much damage. I had one store near me that had nothing but 3 Rihos for months. Either everything else sold immediately or never got stocked.
As far as chase figures go, I have never seen any of them. They might as well not even exist. A few have cool attires I would definitely buy but not at jacked up insane prices.

I'm not a fan, but at this point I'm just indifferent.
I assume I'll never find one, and I'll never pay secondary market prices. So I basically just ignore them and cross my fingers that they don't make an attire that I want.

It's complete horse s***.
It a ridiculous practice. Especially at those ratios. Should be closer to 60/40 Especially when jazwares don't address theft at factories. Especially when international customers don't get a chance to get them without having to pay hundreds of dollars.
Yes I'm still salty about Mox in bike shorts lol

Should not be like limited. I still have yet to see a chase in person if it like Mattel WWE chases I think I would have found one already.

I feel like an item's value should be determined by if people actually want it, not by only making a few hundred variants and slapping stickers on them so scalpers can go have a field day and inflate the secondhand price so you can brag about making a product with collectors in mind

Not a fan especially when ones like Darby UR3 is so hard to get a hold of. That and Thunder Rosa new one is probably the ones I want the most of the chases, hopefully Thunder won't be so high on the secondary market.

im indifferent. ive never seen one in stores with countless hours of hunting. im pissed they made Punk the chase, because its going to be that much harder for me to obtain without paying a scalper. i hope Punk is at least 1/5000 because that will keep the price slightly lower
