Not if Jeremy decides to sign them independently. 👍 Jazwares isn’t doing that though. They’ve said they’re only working with contracted AEW talent. Their deal is similar to that of WWE and Mattel. Well I've never heard Jazwares say that. If that's the case we just have to wait I guess.

Not saying I don't believe you, I just want to read/watch the full context. It was in regards to forbidden door talent exchange. Something along the lines of if they were a possibility to do they would but they have to respect all talent and licensing. The main focus would be contracted talent since it is so full and endless. I dont think that necessarily means they wont sign talent independently, but it doesnt sound like something they are exploring either.

There has to be something else to it. I mean, there were figures of wrestlers that I highly doubt were under a legends deal (Shamrock, D'lo and most recently Billy Gunn while he was under an AEW contract). I was expecting a Double J figure after he returned to the WWE for a HOF induction, some Raw matches and worked on the creative team. Whatever is going on, a Double J figure is long overdue. They all have/had legends deals. There was a point where WWE had signed a lot of talent to Legends deals, which cost WWE next to nothing. Legends deals revolve around merch, video games, etc - it's not an actual talent contract, so it doesn't limit what they can do in terms of actual employment in wrestling. So Gunn and Jake Roberts are free to work in AEW, but the Legends contract means Mattel can still make figures of them as long as they're under contract. While the basic premise of this may be true from wwe’s perspective why promote someone on another roster?

And unless they launch a separate classics line it doesn’t make any sense for them to include a Jarrett or any other talent not associated with the brand into an AEW toy line. Be like including Mega Man in their Halo line.

Jarrett won’t and shouldn’t get an AEW figure before most of the roster. That dude hasn’t done a damn thing for that company. He’s mid.

Jakks wasn't signing stars from other promotions, more like legends not tied to a roster.

They're making Owen Hart, whom won't be in AEW due to obvious reasons. Sure there's a tournament in his name & the charity is involved. I guess any Legend that isn't WWE, WCW, ECW or any other property that WWE owns can possibly be done.
I'd rather have a WWF Era Jarrett done first. Legal rights are a tricky thing, especially these days.
