Isn't it a weird paradox with AJ Styles where we seemingly get feuds with other incredible wrestlers and it just ends up not delivering? Him versus Edge is an insane dream match and this whole feud just lacks something, and the matches aren't delivering like they should be. Same thing happened with Kevin Owens in 2017 and Nakamura in 2018. All should be incredible feuds and it just does seem to click for whatever reason.

Interesting that Edge won twice. Surprised as well with Cody. WWE loves to do 50/50 trading wins

I think in this case, the main story isn't Edge/AJ. This is all built around Edge's group forming so if this had been the same as Edge/Rollins where it was a feud simply between them and the matches and match quality were the only important thing in it all then it'd be different. I believe that if this was a simple Edge/AJ and only Edge/AJ feud then it might be playing out differently.

Also Iβm guessing going forward itβs gonna be a half and half snow? Raw one half and Smackdown the other? So the commentary team doesnβt need to keep switching

Cody vs Seth was MOTN easily and I thought Edge/AJ was decent.

Didn't bother watching last night. Seemed like a pointless PPV.

Overall a pointless PPV tbh but at least the match quality was alright.

I think thatβs the core issue the angle is just being used to get a stable over I think going into that feud we expected this epic eye glued saga between the two. And when I first envisioned this match in 2009 thatβs what I thought as kid. I think if they had main event title and semi main event spot on the card with build up that had been brewing I think we would of seen that. I feel the same way the matches have been underwhelming I think that was given when they just jumped right into match with cheap build then gave Edge new gimmick and they had to transition AJ out of being heel right away and transitioned away from being lower card performer for nice chunk of time

AJβs matches with Cena, Bryan , Reigns, Lesnar, Rollins, Jericho, Mysterio etc were all great stuff but his matches with Edge, Nakamura, Owens, Orton etc could have been a lot better.

Feels like there isnβt much direction? Lots of over stars who really donβt have much of next program to jump into.
The main event was glorified raw main event; thought this 6 man match could of been way more explosive. I know they want to protect Roman, but I feel like this could of panned out better.
Theyβre gonna maybe go down the road of Drew trying to chase Roman and get his hands on him but Roman being to slick and Roman always getting the better edge over the summer.
I think bloodline could of won but McIntyre should of stuck it to Roman and kicked his ass after the match. Send him through stage panel something to embarrass Roman to atleast give drew some stock over the summer program.
Charlotte and Ronda was really good and for me was the match of the night. Everything else sort of fell flat for me and it was flat show.

Here is my AJ analogy: In the show Arrested Development the character Tobias, played brilliantly by David Cross, gets hair plugs. They look terrible. The longer the plugs get, the more it kills Tobias. His body is rejecting them. He becomes frail and loses himself to them. But he wonβt remove them because he likes having hair. AJ is Tobias. The longer his hair gets, the worse he gets. Once someone you could consider the best in the world (only because Bryan was retired) progressively stopped having bangers with everyone. He needs to cut his hair to regain his strength. Because as of right now, his best Wrestlemania match has been against Shane McMahon.

The AJ and Edge feud is being ruined by this stupid new Edge gimmick.

I think AJ is just simply not as good as he once was...back in like 05. Dude needs to get a haircut, for sure. Overrated as hell imo. It didn't shock me one bit to find out that he drinks Malibu Coconut Rum. π
