Ok, so I get no points for originality with this one, but after Bret Hart, it seemed like the next logical subject for us to talk about What are your four favorite Shawn Michaels matches from 85 to 98. I went for this era as he is a guy that I feel had two careers and I thought it would make it a bit easier for us... actually, scratch that, this was still brutally hard to pick just four matches for! The Rockers vs The Orient Express: Royal Rumble 1991: Still to this day, this is my all time favorite match to open a PPV. These two teams had the greatest chemistry and each time they wrestled it was a ton of fun, I was even lucky enough to see this match live at the 1991 UK Rampage. From the start to the end, it is entertaining stuff and one of those matches where you never knew which was it was going to go. As a kid, I was desperate for Hasbro Orient Express figures so I could have this match! Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker: In Your House 18: I forgot to put this one on my In Your House Mount Rushmore so I am not making the same mistake again. What a match, I remember watching this live with my cousin like it was yesterday. I truly think that you could make an argument that this was the finest in ring work from both of these guys. They would have some amazing matches over the years, but this one is still my favorite. Add to the actual match, the first time we got a Hell in the Cell and the debut of Kane and it is one of the most important matches in WWF history. Shawn Michaels vs Razor Ramon: WrestleMania X: I think that as a fan, I was more into their SummerSlam 95 match as I had friends who also loved wrestling at this time and it was a real social thing. However, as far as the actual "match" goes, I have to say that I do prefer their first one. I hate how people say that Shawn Michaels had a match with a ladder here as Razor more than played his part, this was another guy that Shawn Michaels had amazing chemistry with and again, it was a match that right up until the end, I never knew which way it was going to go. As a kid watching this, I was sure Diesel was going to come back down to ringside and cost Razor the match! Shawn Michaels vs Mankind: In Your House 10: Say what you will about business and the way his 1996 title run, but he had great match after great match, he had two great ones with Bulldog, with KOTR 96 nearly making this list! Anyway, this is just an all time classic and a match that I have so much fun with. I remember getting the VHS tape for this and being blown away, I remember seeing the highlights on WWF Superstars, but never thinking the match looked anything special and they did not hype it up as this classic, they tended to focus more on the run-ins that happened! Anyway, when I got that VHS tape, I was blown away and on the edge of my seat watching this match. So those are my pics, but I could probably do about ten honorable mentions, vs Bulldog at King of the Ring 96, with Diesel vs Kid and Razor from Action Zone in 94, vs Bret Hart at Survivor Series 92, vs Diesel at In Your House 7, vs Marty Jannetty on RAW in 93 and vs Bulldog at One Night Only are all personal favorites of mine too! Let me know what matches make you list

Interesting, as I think his 2002-2010 run was superior, but going based on personal enjoyment…… Vs Razor Summerslam 95 Vs Diesel Good Friends Better Enemies Vs Mankind Mind Games Vs Undertaker Badd Blood Honorable mention Vs Kama King Of The Ring 95. Thought it ed.

Rockers vs Express- Rumble 91- The best opener of any ppv to me will always be Bret/Owen at WM X but this is a real close 2nd
vs Bret -SSeries 92- Those beginning years of the HBK character will always be my fav so had to pick one from this time period. Gem here
vs Mankind- Mind Games- An awesome match from my fav IYH.The finish is so so but it doesnt take away from how great this match is
vs Taker in the cell- Badd Blood- Best HIAC match in my book. He sold the beating to perfection. Plus you got the memorable Kane debut. That shot with him a bloody mess being helped up the aisle by Trips/Chyna man good stuff. Storytelling at its finest

Storytelling at its finest I have always loved the way Bret put the sharpshooter on him in that match, this and the way he did it to Mr. Perfect at SummerSlam 91 were awesome. It was always a lot of fun when he would slap someone in the sharpshooter in an more unusual way.

Wrestlemania really was a Shawn Michaels show for a couple years, so I'll put Razor and Bret on my list just because they're such iconic matches. Razor at Summerslam is so good as well, but nothing will beat WM 10.
Vs Mankind at Mind Games is one of the greatest WWF/E Title matches of all time for me so that has to be included.
The first Hell in a Cell with Undertaker is still the greatest HIAC match!

For me: vs Undertaker - IYH Badd Blood, First HIAC Match (to me, still the best one). These guys had great chemistry and always worked well together. This is my favorite match from them. vs Razor Ramon - WM10, great ladder match, set the tone and pace for all to follow. vs Bret Hart - Survivor Series 1992, I always liked this match, one of my favorites to just sit and watch. I think someone mentioned this in the Bret thread, two guys who didn't have the ego's yet, or worried about who was going to win, they just went out and had a fantastic match. vs. Jeff Jarrett - IYH 2, tremendous match and pacing. I went with singles matches again, but this definitely deserves a mention: vs. Orient Express - Royal Rumble 1991. One of the very best tag matches I ever saw, and it was on one of my favorite PPVs (rented it a bunch from Blockbuster back in the day). They also had great matches with the Brain Busters (house show at the garden, and the two out of three falls match at SNME - Brain Busters last televised match - sorry The Brain . They also had great matches with the Hart Foundation. I would love to have seen some of their Iron Man matches with the Rougeau Brothers - but I don't think any of those were televised/taped. Other favorite singles matches: vs Bret - WM12 vs Diesel - IYH 7, Good Friends, Better Enemies vs Bulldog - KOTR96 vs Mankind - IYH Mind Games vs Stone Cold - KOTR97 vs Undertaker - IYH? (Before their Hell In A Cell match) vs Bret - Survivor Series 1997 vs Undertaker - Royal Rumble 1998 vs Kurt Angle - vs Undertaker - WM25 vs Undertaker - WM26

vs Razor Ramon - Wrestlemania X vs Bret Hart - Wrestlemania XII vs Mankind - Mind Gamesvs Undertaker - Badd Blood Glad to see a lot of people mentioning the Mankind match. He doesn't get the same accolades as others: Rock, Austin, HHH, HBK, Bret, Taker, Angle, etc., but from 1996-2000, he was a tremendous wrestler that the WWF had. He was in so many big feuds/matches/moments during that time.

I have always thought that people were way to harsh on him when they would say that all he could do was the hardcore or "stuntman" stuff. He told great stories in the ring and really got people invested in his character. During the Attitude Era I would certainly say he was one of the pillars of the company, I would go Austin and Rock as the two very top, but I would probably put Foley, Undertaker and HHH all on equal footing, plus I guess we would have to put Sable in there too.

vs Razor Ramon - SummerSlam '95 - Sacrilege to some, but I may like this more than WMX
vs Jeff Jarrett - IYH July '95 - In some ways a forgotten classic in the middle of slow period on IYH event.
vs Undertaker - Badd Blood - Love everything about this one. The first HIAC remains the best one.
vs Mankind - Mind Games - Perhaps Foley's best match in his career. I do wish it had a clean finish.
