I just noticed in the last few years really Asuka is the only one with face paint in WWE, and AEW has a few but it's not that much I'm just wondering if there's a reason face paint is more common for men than women.
I think face paint adds a unique look and I'd like to see more woman have face paint especially for my figure collection.

Because unfortunately, women's wrestling is still seen as very much a looks-based 'attraction' in the United States by WWE and companies that want to rival WWE. Obviously you do have the exceptions like Asuka, Kairi (in her heel run), Thunder Rosa, Statlander, Abadon. There's also independent wrestlers like Holidead, Rosemary, Havok, but obviously none of those women have really been on the radar of the bigger companies despite their talents. Obviously in the past, you've had women's wrestlers like Aja Kong and Bull Nakano wear facepaint but for the most part, women's wrestling in the US is still basically a "Damn, aren't these women hot!? Am I right, fellas!?" 'attraction'.

I would also like a female masked wrestler, I know we have Nikki Ash, but a proper masked female.
But yeah I agree I love face paint and it would be cool if more women wore it.

There was a female masked wrestler for a while but I think they crap canned her Catalina. They cut her and she had to sell off all her possessions to afford a flight back to her home country because her visa ran out.

They only hire their standard of "pretty" women so they're not gonna allow them to cover up their face.
It's weird though cause it's not just the women, there's been a few guys who wrestled on the indies under a mask and have been unmasked for their WWE / NXT debuts. I was always under the impression that masks were a big seller merch wise so why they want all these guys and girls maskless is strange to me

Personally speaking face paint on women is highly appealing. But I prefer the half and half look, like Statlander.

Surprised it's not become a thing in WWE since they like the showbiz aspect of it.
A few women in AEW have it and I think it looks great on Statlander and Thunder Rosa, two ladies with gimmicks that make them recognisable is only a good thing for them.

Just before the end of The Fiend Bliss had started to wear face paint as she transitioned more into her character. Everyone crap on it....So yeah, we'll just let the women look "normal"

Sexy Star is the only one I can think of that wrestled in a US company wearing a mask. And I think the less said about her the better.
