I feel that if this gets too deep they'll give him an option to retire as opposed to being forced out. I know it's essentially the exact same thing but it's often looked at as saving face for the guilty party. I think there have been a lot of folks trying to convince Vince to pass the company along for quite a while but he refuses to do so. I have no doubt that it happened, but It wouldn't surprise me if this stuff was stirred even further internally as a way to get that done.

Just my own opinion, but I find it extremely hard to believe Vince would use company money to keep someone quiet.

Vince is still a really fit and healthy man for his age, I bet his sex drive is still that of a much younger man so im sure Linda cant satisfy him anymore. A man has needs.

People can be ousted from their own companies if the board wants it enough. Look at John Schnatter, Steve Jobs, Travis Kalanick, Mark Eberhard - the list goes on and on.
Bottom line of this is, if the board want Vince gone, they can vote on it. If it's unanimous, he gets fired. Business is a cut-throat world.

One thing I thought was how the story of the sale of WWE has probably brought this whole thing up because maybe they found some dubious financials related to the company in amongst it, youβd have to think that they have some paper evidence of foul play. I doubt it came of somebody making a complaint or just vince offering it up.

She was paid off with personal money and signed an agreement to forget about the situation. There's nothing wrong with that. The problem is when Vince sent her to Work for Laurinaitis her pay went from $100,000 to $200,000. THAT MONEY came from the company. THAT is the "conflict of interest." A "conflict of interest" that Vince will simply argue she deserved the raise and it was justified because of (insert lies here) and the story goes away. Here, "Undeserving people" are promoted over other "deserving people" in every business on the planet every day. Those are business decisions and that's life." That will be their starting point and it's hard to argue it. Everyone who has ever worked has seen co-workers get raises or promotions and wondered why and how? It happens at Dairy Queen. It happens at Walmart. It happens in WWE. Case closed. |

Makes sense that the same people who fell asleep during workplace harassment training believe that what Vince did was both morally and legally ok.
