He would've needed to alter his look and character. Could not have imagined him fitting in The Attitude Era.

I just couldnt see em meshing well in that era.He definitely had to change up his character and we all know how stubborn he was in that department

It wouldnt have worked. Fans were not going to be interested in seeing a superhero like character destroying everyone on the roster when you had a more realistic version in Goldberg doing the same thing on Monday Nitro. In all likelyhood though, if Ultimate Warrior had signed, he wouldve been gone after a few months in 1998.

His ass would have walked after a month or two so wouldn’t really matter. Maybe a feud with Mankind or Vader.

A bit confusing. According to the article they are saying Bret/Warrior as a potential feud. Bret was gone by then.
Although it never happened, I’m clenching at the thought! Would the $3.75m the Warrior took mean the $3.5m wouldn’t be available for Tyson (a deal that in hindsight was an absolute bargain)?
Creatively speaking, the Warrior wouldn’t fit. He would do nothing to enhance Austin, Taker or Mankind in a feud with him would take away from their excellent KOTR match. DX were doing their own thing.
Maybe he would win the Brawl for All though!

Warrior already had altered his character a lot in 96. I would have been interested to see what they'd have done with him.

I think that it was just an attempt to keep him from WCW

He looked really out of place in 1996 when the New Generation was still chugging along so I can't imagine how weird of a fit Warrior would have been in 1997 with the Attitude Era taking form.
WCW was a much tamer product in 1998 compared to the WWF and even there he stuck out like a sore thumb who belonged to a bygone era.
