You are indeed a major mark if you pay those prices.

I just don't understand that price point. Both look good, but the sticker shock is undeniable for an action figure.

They are going to explain the reasoning for the price on the latest episode of the podcast...but it basically comes down to cost of production, they were given the option to either cut deco and not make these exactly how they wanted them, or increase the price because of all the deco hits. Blame the world and greed, not Matt & Brian. The guys literally nitpick every single detail on these figures, to make sure they are 100% accurate to the real life attire they wore. This isn't a "cash grab" price increase just for the hell of it.

They know how much this sort of thing costs to produce. They've done it before. This is them thinking they can rip off a bunch of marks.

All Ultimates preorders went from $45 to $55 in the beginning of last year. These wouldve been $55 if they didnt have the ridiculous markup. And even at $20...still not worth it for what you're getting.

Getting way to over-priced, 30.00 increase for mid-card jobbers. If 75.00 is the new norm for ultimates Super 7 is going to be in trouble, people don't have a disposable income to be blowing around on action figures, especially with payment due up front. I don't think $75 is the norm. $55 has been their standard for a while now, with some exceptions like Guerrilla Gorilla from TMNT being closer to 80, and the Godzilla Ultimates being 85 apiece, down to the fact that those are enormous. While I've personally elected to pass on these, they do look like good improvements from the first wave. As with everything, it comes down to why people collect and what they want to budget their money on.

If you don’t like them or the price point then don’t buy it. The actual sales will be the true test of how much someone is willing to pay for a single figure. Like with concert and sports tickets, the price keeps rising and we keep filling the arenas globally. The prices of things across the board are skyrocketing and we the consumer continue accept it. The only way to reduce these prices are to stop buying the products.
P.S.- I’ve never purchased any Major Fig stuff and probably never will. I think those guys have done a great job building their brand but it’s not my taste.

There's a recession going on with people struggling to afford groceries and the gas to get to work, and yet we got dumb MF'ers willingly dropping $75 on a Matt Cardona doll. What the...
Why? Seriously - why? If you bought one of these --- why?!??!

I have no interest in buying these figures but I did listen to the most recent podcast with and interview from a Super 7 designer and must say intricate details and costs that went into the figures blew my mind. I can appreciate the effort and costs involved but it's still a lot to shell out for an action figure.

Honestly there is a lot of work going into Matt’s fig to get all of those paint splatters in. They’re probably charging $75 for Brian’s fig to make up some of that cost. Otherwise you’d probably have Matt’s figure at $95 and Brian’s at the normal $55.
