I actually loved Michael Cole's heel persona from 2010 to 2012 where he would put down Daniel Bryan, praise the Miz and interrupt women's matches.

That was such a horrible time for WWE. It's definitely an era I don't care to ever watch again.

Heel Cole burying the entirety of early days NXT was fun. Everything else about it, not so much.

I remember heel Michael Cole when I first started watching WWE in 2011 the feud between Michael Cole and Jerry Lawyer and He used to sit in a clear box away from Jerry Lawyer

I actually loved Michael Cole's heel persona from 2010 to 2012 where he would put down Daniel Bryan, praise the Miz and interrupt women's matches. It could have been a welcomed addition to the show. Unfortunately it was ruined majorly. It should have just added to the show not take away from it. If I had booked Heel Michael Cole, he would not have been at the commentary booth unless it was to turn another commentator heel. Also he would not be constantly praising The Miz or interrupting Women's Matches unless it was to defend "A niece or daughter" even then he would be managing them like lets say he manages Beth Phoenix or Kelly Kelly for some reason. His match would not be at WM 27 against Jerry Lawler. Instead he would be in the WM 28 match up with Team Raw with John L. Hell he'd even perhaps take over for Johnny Laurinaitis. Just Imagine, Heel Michael Cole, Heel Corey Graves and maybe even Heel Pat Mc Afee later on down the road. It would be a thing right now, if I were booking.

One of my least favourite parts of Raw, Wrestlemania 27 remains one of my least favourites in history and mostly due to the fact of his match with Jerry Lawler. That was the worst piece of crapyou'll ever see.

He had extreme go away heat for me! Even now I think he sucks, he is the absolute worst and one of the reasons I have trouble watching the current product. If people like him then cool, I am glad people get enjoyment out of him. For me, he is a hard pass in pretty much every regard, but his heel persona was the absolute worst.

He was abysmal and not in a heel heat way I’ve expressed feeling this way about Vickie Guerrero and people have counter argued it with saying “then she did her job.” I still agree with you, though.

That heel run of Cole's hurt the product so bad during the period. The just randomly turning him heel, basically just so that had someone on commentary that could heel out on the 'indy darling' of Daniel Bryan was just dumb. And the thing is, they went way too hard with his heel character. The reason guys like Ventura, Heenan and Attitude Era Lawler worked well, is because they didn't come off as completely insufferable pricks. They could either make you laugh, or actually make a good point as to why they would side with the heel wrestlers. And good god, he wrestled, way, WAY too much during that heel run. The fact that he had several PPV matches, including a Mania spot, is insulting to a lot of people. Then add on top of the heel turn, his constant Miz praise, his constant belittling of Bryan, and feud with King that carried on way past when it should have ended, you had him as the "voice' of the anoyomus GM, and it made any show he was on awful to watch.

Yeah, it definitely felt shoehorned in. I couldn't stand the orange singlet/headgear attire either. I know that was the point, to be obnoxious as possible but it just wasn't entertaining. I didn't mind the little fued/pot shots he'd make about Bryan when he was still in NXT but it was definitely all dragged out for too long.

Didn't Sheamus talk to one of the muppets saying they were related because they both had long spiky orange/red hair??
