So with WWE recently celebrating Cena’s 20th anniversary... what is your opinions of em?
It was good to see him back and it was great to see the entire crowd cheering for him again. I was always a fan since day one but his act got a lil tiring during his dominant reign on top, it’s no surprise since he was on top for a good decade plus. I will say that I still enjoyed most of his run as the face of WWE and he had lots of great moments, matches, promos, segments etc.
I personally loved his work during 03/04/05 and even in 2015/16/17/18 til this current day. It’s safe to say he’s one of the greatest & biggest names in the history of WWE and a Mount Rushmore worthy guy.

In terms of just pro wrestling, only behind Hogan and Austin as far as big of name. One of the greatest of all time and rightfully soon.

Overall… he was alright. I never say to myself oooh I really have to go back and watch that Cena promo, such a moment. He’s had some good matches - ones I’d go back to watch again, MITB vs Punk, FFH, Rumble 08. Can’t say there’s many more than that that spring to mind. Oo Cena vs Umaga at the Rumble, er should have lost tho. The Kurt feud did it for me, it broke my sense of ooo this is a competitive and dicey position being champion is when cenajustwinslol happened again and again. To be fair the Jericho match and it not being Christian pushed in that spot hurt a lot as well as I thought their feud was bubbling up beautifully and the Jericho one, came right outta nowhere and I had zero feeling for it, was numbing. I was quite on board with Cena and his position up until that summer in 05. Last 10-12 years is mostly white noise to me in the memory banks. Overall he’s the guy that’s the face of the downturn in my lustre for WWE as a fan so it isn’t an entirely positive perspective but he was alright.

He's the last major star wrestling will ever produce as far as I'm concerned.
He's a cultural icon, and kind of under rated as a worker.

Never a fan. Actually, he was one of the main reasons I stopped watching wrestling in the 2000s. His matches were dreadful to me, his work in the ring was subpar at best. He was good on the mic, some of his rhymes were funny but nothing else stood out. I will say it's not all his fault, WWE going to PG didn't help. The fact that they pushed him down fans throats for a very long time also didn't help.

I was a fan of him from 2003-2005, was sick of him from 2005-2010 and then started finding him entertaining again in 2011.

I give credit for his work ethic, HOFer, changed the business (good or bad), etc. He’s on my list of wrestlers that are known for “Blank” but I don’t care for them.

He has charisma and appeal. The craps in the ring, but so was Hogan. All in all, I don't mind him. I truly admire his Make a Wish stuff.

Great example of you don't know what you've got till it's gone imo. Much like Orton is currently, taken for granted isn't exactly the right way to put it but when the guy isnt there it's extremely noticeable that something's missing. If its possible, quite underrated imo for his contributions because people will always think of Hogan, Austin, Rock, etc... first.

Greatest of all time, in terms of body of work. I can do without his white rapper “deez nuts” gimmick, and his feuds since he’s been part time often rely on lane insider references, but pretty much everything prior was gold once he found his sweet spot in 06/07. There’s a solid decade of outstanding main event performances that I don’t think anyone else can hold a candle to.

The GOAT. The impact he has on fan's lives is incredible. His in-ring work will stand up for decades. His longevity is unmatched. His worth ethic will forever be the most impressive. He put up with sooooooo much bulls*it through his years with the WWE and made it the best he could.
The thing that probably makes him #1 overall to me is how long he's been a superstar. I can't stress enough how important Hulk and Austin are to the WWE's success but these guys has short runs and were riddled with drama and jealousy. John did it full-time for 15-years and still had a strong part-time run in 2018. There's a few stories here and there about Cena maybe disliking young talent and putting them down, but overall you only hear great things about John. He is one of the most genuine human beings I have seen period -- not just in wrestling. He didn't become jaded because of the business and he never stopped working hard. He's done heeps and heeps and heeps of work, good and bad, to make sure fans were happy.
A model employee. A great performer. A fantastic wrestler. A stand up human being. A timeless legacy. I don't think you can say that about a single other wrestler in history.

Erm I'd say first 2002 was a bit shaky for him. Thuganomics was great in 2003. 2004 he really rised and then 2005 the champ was there. 2006-15 he was the face of WWE. Kind been of an okay part timer since then. My overall thoughts are he was fantastic till around 2008. Then after then he turned into fruity pebbles.

03-05 I liked
06-12 I pretty much despised
12-18 meh
18 - present, I appreciate all what he did and the moments and matches he provided
Overall, he’s a legend and one of the last true mega stars in wrestling
Edit: I loved Brock throwing him around for 15 minutes at Summerslam 2014. One of the funnest main events I’ve ever watched

Irreplaceable, you don't realise how good the guy was until he's not on TV every week. Nothing but killer Main Event matches throughout the years and you can't argue he's provided most of the memorable moments of the last 20 years. Guy is a stand out performer, unique yes but one of the greatest of all time and rightly so should be remembered as such.
His charity work I have huge respect for, and huge respect for his career.
