I just paid off my PayPal credit. Love using it for SDCC because you always get 6 months no interest on purchases $99 or more.

Planning to get 2 of the No Holds Barred set, if I can get through
Past that, Iβll see what goes up for preorder. All in all I figure Iβll drop around $250 or so. Hopefully less

Iβm not sure about saving up, I still have to pay off my credit card. Thatβs the priority, however Iβve been downsizing my collection only for figures I really want. This year though I already have Luger, UE Jeff, legends Kane, Xpac on my radar. If thereβs more WCW guys and flashbacks from the mid to late 90βs, Iβm in. 2000βs era too..

At this point I really don't understand the people who go all in on preorders. Figures are easier than ever to find for retail price. The only places that offer immediate preorders for stuff that is months away add anywhere from $5-$10 extra per item. If you wait it out you can even find figures below retail price a few weeks after being released. Do people really want stuff that immediately that they have to spend a ton more to have it a few weeks before most people?

I just want to buy and put it on my shelf as quick as I can.

I'm just surprised to hear that someone is so willing to spend $35 today when they could spend $22 in two or three months for the same item.

Iβll do a mix of both. I donβt preorder elites anymore as Iβm not paying extra just to get them early. Not worth it imo and I cherry pick what I want anyway
I will usually PO an RSC exclusive just to get it out of the way. I donβt wanna wait months for it to drop a few bucks
If I want an UE bad enough Iβll PO to get it early. Examples of that are Taker, Kane, recent Hogan. Past that, I am not willing to pay an extra $10 for UEβs just to get them early

Especially with exclusives.

The people who pre order may wanna know why you wanna wait. Me personally , I pre order to not have to deal with the headache later. Whoβs to say every figure that pops up for pre order will be easy to find? There has been plenty of stuff I have never seen in any of my local Walmart/Targets, and I live by 4 Targets and 4 Walmarts, and I have yet to see a Karma, Zodiac, royal rumble set, chase Jake the snake from the most recent legend, chase Bigelow, Col Mustafa just to name a few . And I ended up having to pay that extra $10-$15 not counting the gas I spent driving around looking for them. So with that said, even if people do wanna wait and look in store, youβll end up spending more in gas driving around lookin than you would have just to pre order and spent $15 more on one.

You can link your bank account and it gives you a one-time debit card that you can fill in the order's payment method with. Then you get charged 1/4th of the order's total every 2 weeks until its paid off. So instead of paying $100 upfront, it lets you pay $25 every 2 weeks across 8 weeks. And it is interest free. I love it and I use it all the time. There's a lot of other services just like it now, and I think PayPal even has a "pay in 4" option.
