What are your choices:
For me, I'd go with:
The Original Four Horsemen - though the one with Windham, Tully, Arn and Flair was great too. The NWO - more so their first year, 1996-1997, before they got too big or split The Dangerous Alliance The Hart Foundation from 1997
Honorable Mention would be the Heenan Family from 1989 (Andre, Rude, Arn, Tully, and Haku), if only Mr. Perfect from 1990 was a part of this group, or Mr. Wonderful from 1986.

The Kliq Shield New Day The Nation Of Domination (Faarooq/Rock/Kama/D-Lo)
I don’t know if this is my final answer but at this moment, these are my favorites.

This is a lot harder than I thought it would be!
I’ll go with:
The Heenan Family 1989 - possibly the most successful year for Indiana’s favourite Bobby. Both the Busters and Colossal Connection bagging the tag team gold and Rude getting the IC belt. So great to see Andre get an extended run in the limelight before his turn in 90.
Hart Foundation 97 - loved the tease of Bulldog and Owen feuding before Bret reunited them (and with Owen). The anti USA angle seemed like something new and my ears are still ringing from the crowd reaction at the Canadian Stampede PPV. I presume the whole faction just fizzled out without any major talking points.
DX post WM14 - my favourite incarnation of them. I did enjoy Shawn, Hunter and Chyna but preferred the, with the Outlaws and X-PAC. I always felt Triple H really came in to his own around this time.
Flair, Heenan and Mr Perfect - possibly pushing my luck calling this a faction but the dynamic of these three was amazing. Heenan and Perfect were fantastic together on Prime Time and the Brain being an “objective broadcast journalist” when Flair was wrestling was just absolute gold.
If I can’t have Flair et Al as part of it I would swap them out for the dangerous alliance, mainly for the wrestle war match.

Horsemen - Original & Flair, Arn, Tully & Windham.
Heenan Family - All incarnations.
Hart Foundation- Original, but I liked ‘97 as well.
NWO - Original up to the Giant. After that it lost it’s luster as everyone was joining it.

nWo in 96/97. It changed wrestling and must be included in every list.
4H: Flair, Arn.Tully, Windham & JJ as Manager.
DX: from 97 through the face turn and their reformation in 99 as the main heel gang? fantastic stable.
Hart Foundation: Just made so much sense and the Stone Cold/DX feuds were blistering.
Honorable mention to The Dangerous Alliance. I left the Heenan family out because its too expansive....and wasnt always great. Heenan Family 89 was a beast though

The Heenan Family 1990-1991:I know it may seem like a strange time period to go for with it being the end of the Heenan Family, but I loved the whole run with the Boss Man and speaking of run, did you ever see how fast the Boss Man's mama ran to the free buffett?
DX:I have liked every incarnation of DX, the original is the best, but I think the 98 led DX was awesome too. I even enjoyed it when they came back as middle aged guys.
The Hart Foundation I have said it a million times, but Bret Hart in 1997 is some of the greatest work of any wrestler in history. I loved these guys and what made them such great bad guys was that they were bad guys that felt they were right! It would have been interesting to see what could have been if Austin had gone up against the Hart Foundation in 1997.
NWO 1996-1997 The first year, maybe year and a half of the NWO was so much fun, I maybe would go all the way to Hogan dropping the belt to Goldberg. After that, it was like each time they tried to do something with the NWO it felt like a shadow of its former self.

Bobby ripping on Boss Man's mom was gold. I enjoyed the hell outta this feud
I still say Boss Man shouldve got a token run with the IC belt at WM VII. Have em lose it back to Perfect on SNME that April thanks to the Mountie.

Have em lose it back to Perfect on SNME that April thanks to the Mountie. I agree, Bossman not getting the title reall made the end of the feud fall flat. Wonder if they just didn't want all three titles changing at that WrestleMania?

X-Factor - Just kidding
nWo - Original
Four Horsemen - Ric/Arn/Tully/Windham
Heenan Family - Especially 88/89
Hart Foundation '97 - I've never been a big Bret the guy fan and to me he seemed like a heel even when he was a face. His turn made me a fan in '97 embracing his natural heel, at least in the US.
