I'm having horrible flashbacks.
I missed Sgt. Slaughter again. It's like they put it back up there just to mock me one more time.
Also, sucks that since I already bought 2 "No Holds Barred" sets back when it was first released, that I'm still locked out of buying it now? I was considering buying one now as a gift for someone who I know doesn't have it, but I can't, because I bought two when it originally came out....

Well, that also shows sold out, so maybe that was the issue you were seeing. Nah, it was still stocked but saying I couldn't add any because I'd already bought 2... It's fine, like I said. It would have made a sweet Christmas present but I have my two sets. I know I sound greedy but this was a big want of mine, I rarely buy 2 of anything anymore due to budget. I'm glad some people may have gotten it that didn't already have it. |

I'm pretty sure they were just clearing out some stuff they had in storage, getting ready for Black Friday sales. Maybe they just had 50-100 left in storage and wanted to get rid of them.
We're lucky they gave collectors the opportunity to buy them instead of shipping them off to a random Marshall's or Ollie's in New Mexico or something.

Somehow, I lucked out and got Sarge!!
I had no idea this drop was even happening, but I happened to have my email open when the notice went out. I wasn't even going to bother clicking the link but something made me look, and I'm so glad I did. When I checked back again after my order went thru, he was out of stock.
Definitely was not expecting to see him on there.

I know I shouldn't be, but I'm always amazed that those $600 Hot Wheels sets sell out so quick. Hot Wheels it's just like printing money. When I was collecting and selling toys in the 90s, in order to make back some money, I would always check to see if I could find a Treasure Hunt. I did find a few and couldn't believe how much they sold for, and how many people are in the market for them. |

I never got the Slaughter I ordered back when they were up for sale last time. They sent me a Hot Wheels Jeep instead.

The CS worker I talked to said they couldn't confirm if they even had more Slaughters, so I kept the Jeep and sold it on Ebay. |

The biggest sigh of relief you'll ever have on a figure hunt is realizing that the collector-looking guy in the toy section with you is heading for the Hot Wheels. Those guys are wild.

Man I’m really hoping they do another sarge in that style gear in the LJN ultimate line. I’m bummed I didn’t get an over stock one. Also, I know we have a MNW thread, but I’m really hoping we get that light blue jeans DDP re-released in a greatest hits line with the joints fixed. I’ve accepted im never getting one with the correct parts choice and color.

Can confirm. 2 weeks in a row I was near a Target just before opening. Both times there was a group of 3 guys waiting at the door. When those doors opened, you’d think there was a race. I got to the wrestling section, but found them going to town on the Hot Wheels. |
